lots of history here
waited on every shot, hard to score well . cart path only today. no course marshal around to speed things up, maybe just a busy day. clubhouse had photos of celebrity golfers, a member took the time to explain some of the names. staff were friendly
Very attractive holes and scenery
This is a great place to play golf. Although there were some gur situations, they were no showstoppers. Nice changes between longer and shorter holes, great views of the mountains and very friendly and helpful staff.
Old School Desert Course
Nice shape for early in the season, green were a bit slow. Clubhouse not open yet, nice layout, staff and pace of play. Will play there again.
Great Experience
Staff is phenomenal. Course has just opened after reseeding. Classic Palm Springs track. Incredible value for the money!
Very disappointed of the removal of water holes
I was very disappointed they drained all the water from the course, except for the major one! We loved playing that course for that reason! It' was just a dirt hole, and thank god it was cooler outside considering I had to walk to my ball throughout the course as I am a fairway hitter!!! If I knew before hand it was car path only, I might have waited since I had surgery a few months ago, and my back was not 100% up to par, but made it through!!! Over all, we still had fun, but could've been much better if the water holes were there !!!
Old school feel
The staff went out of their way to help us .
Great lay out and generous fairways , greens were little slow but were perfect condition . Also it was the first day open after reseeding the winter grass so that contributed to the slow greens . Had a great day .
Traditional Layout but enjoyable layout
Played this in May 2017. Traditional Style course built quite some time ago. Kept in great condition. Greens were challenging, and most trouble visible from where you hit.
Great value for the money and I would definitely play this track again!!!!
Memorial Day outing
The course was nice today was clear and warm. The fairways in great condition the greens were fast.
The only complaint I had was a member of the other golf cart apparently was drinking and the staff made some accusations regarding my responsibilities to manage his drinking.. I felt the employee was very rude in his tone toward me as I had no knowledge of the actions of the other card players.
North Course @ Indian Canyons
Played the Blues (6943/73.1/128) in slightly less than 3H as a single. The weather was clear, breezy and nearing 100 by the time I was finishing a little after 10am.
My 1st time playing here. Traditional Palm Springs 35-37 par 72 layout. The majority of holes are ringed by middle class homes with OB down both sides. Numerous par 4's are likely not Driver holes for longer hitters. Tight in many places, if you miss the fairway by 15 yards on either side you stood a good chance of being OB on many holes. However, there were a few grip it and rip it holes too. One of the older courses in Palm Springs. The layout is not awe inspiring by 2017 standards, although it did host some pro tournaments back in the 1960's. You definitely got you money's worth on the four par 3's, as they averaged close to 200 yards each (191, 178, 204 & 220) from the Blues.
The tees were mostly lush with most divots already filled in.
The fairways & rough were both semi lush with some brown areas They are closing for the summer this weekend and you could tell they had quit watering some areas. I was impressed that the pro shop informed me of this when I made the tee time.
The Bermuda greens putted nice. Firm and medium to medium fast speed. As Matt warned in his recent review, you definitely had to account for run out on even high, well struck short irons.
The sand traps had too many small rocks in them to be classified as good. Decently maintained from a raking perspective.
The customer service was excellent from everyone. They put me on the back 20 minutes before my tee time as a single and I pretty much had the course to myself, because by the time I made the turn all the early players were finished with the front. Plenty of water stations and I saw the Player Assistant several times making the rounds.
Overall, enjoyed the course and the experience. Would like to come and play here again when over seeded and in prime condition. Overall. good course, recommended.
Great day of golf
Great staff, great pace of play. Classic Palm Springs resort golf.
The fairways had lots of dry areas I know it's summer for the most part but if half of the fairway is green and lush why can't the whole fairway be that way. Over all great time and will be back.
Great value for your dollar
Played this course for the first time. Traditional type older style. Very challenging.
Staff very accommodating and friendly. The course was in very good shape with the greens in excellent conditions and fast.
I would recommend this course to anyone!!!
Green
Greens still good with only 3 days left before close for summer. Fun course. Food and beverage available one time cart. South course has the goodies.
Ok Experience
I would recommend not to get ur hopes up too much on this course. It was ok to play on but man have they let this place go compared to the last time I played here which was about 5 years ago. You can get through the round very well. It's not disastrous but jeez they can at least work on it a little more. The majority of the water areas are drained, some of the parts on the course are dried up, and some of the bunkers had weeds in them. Not that u should have hit it in bunker anyway but still. The course is ok, but when u compare it to the attention the south course gets, u wonder why they don't try to help out the other one. I stopped by to get some food at the south course clubhouse and it's like night and day with the courses. The value is a lot cheaper on the north course and for good reason. Just asking u give it some attention to get it back to better shape. I know it has history, but u can't solely rely on that anymore.
