The Club at Emerald Hills

Due to the laziness of the greenskeeper grass cutting crew the round of golf was not enjoyable at all. There are 5 or 6 different tee locations on this course which are noted on the scorecard and indicated on the tee locations by colored markers. The markers however were not properly located on the tees due it seems like to lazy grass cutting crews. There was not a single hole where all markers were located correctly on the proper tee box. Some holes had 4 markers bunched together on one tee box, many others had a grouping of 2 or 3 markers bunched together. There were permanent brass tee markers on each hole however tee grass tended to hide them and it was a constant seeking them out to find the correct yardage. This caused a slowdown of play which could have been prevented by proper placement of all colored removable markers. When I called to discuss with course management I was advised that none was available, not the course superintendent, not the pro shop manager, no one who was responsible for course management. I was advised by mr phone answerer that at times some tee boxes were not used due to reseeding . This did not appear to be the case as all tees were grassed properly and there was no indication of anything else excepy pure laziness of maintenamce personnel. I paid top dollar to play this course and the round was ruined by incompetent staff and then by not being able to speak to someone in charge to properly address the situation. I hope that other golfers who read this will take notice and either address the issue with staff or merely pass this golfcourse by as there are many other courses in this area to play.

Played it over the years, always in good shape, great golf course, hard layout. Staff is super friendly always a good experience, if you come around its highly recommended!

Sad to see the course slip in its condition as it was great the last time I played in March. They have a couple of unrealistic par 3 holes with greens that don't hold as the slopes are just silly to force the ball off the greens.

This course has a fantastic layout, that can be somewhat difficult, with water coming into play on many of the holes. No GPS on the carts, but the did provide a free yardage book. Range balls were extraj$7 for about 40 balls. The course it self, was not in country club shape, but really didn't expect it to be as it is a public course. Play moved nicely throughout the round, and we finished in about 4 hours. I would likely play it again, but wouldn't put on the Must play list by any means. Staff was nice, drinks were a bit high, but in line with what you get in the area. Didn't play well, but enjoyed the day.

Played here several times. Course layout is incredible, with very interesting, varied and challenging holes. Plays up to 7800 from the tips. The issue was the conditions and pace. Toos us 5 hours. Conditions were awful from the tees to the greens. Hopefully a one off or a seasonal issue. So, a great course, but conditions have to improve in order for me to return.

Was able to get a teatime last minute on Golfnow. Their rates were very reasonable. My partner and I strolled in late and the staff was very accommodating. Don’t think that would be the case on a weekend.

Rate of play was very consistent and the course was in good shape….. The greens were faster than I recall !

Brutal round. Almost 3 hours for 9 holes, then walked off the course. Not to mention the greens were 75% filled with sand mixture.
