The Oak Bridge Club (formerly known as Ponte Vedra Golf & Country Club at Sawgrass) in the heart of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., sits adjacent to the famed Players Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. The 6,413-yard, par-70 Arnold Palmer design features water on every hole, tree-lined fairways and undulating greens. Oak Bridge favors accuracy and strategy over power and distance. New owners have upgraded the clubhouse and introduced a new restaurant, The 3 Palms Grille. A tennis center is home to 10 Har-Tru clay courts.

Alot left to be desired
The greens on this course were comparable to the ones at the palm valley 9hole where u can shoot 18 holes for half the price. The fairways were ok the course itself had alot of water hazards so be sure to shoot straight. It was a little damp the day we went so the ground was very soft. The golf cart ran out of power on about the 16th hole and drove about 2 mph after that. Not what you'd expect from a pricey PV course but then again the whole city is over rated so ya...
Great layout
The course had a great layout. Par 5's were different than I've seen and the par 3's were hard where it needed to be. The greens needed some major work done. Several of them had dead spots or were just dirt spots. Not sure if it was a disease or just bad greens keeping but they were in poor shape. Over all the course was one to remember. By far on of the neatest layouts I've played.
Sad to see it fall this far
I remember a day when this course (originally Oakbridge) was a great course to play. Sad to see the conditions be this poor. The 1st & 9th green had a little grass, which makes you think they all will, not a chance holes 2-8 were void of grass and completely brown, not to mention the overall poor condition of the course itself. Sad to see.
Embarrassing
I'm embarrassed to say this golf course is part of my community. This once very nice course has become a stain on the PGA Tour and Ponte Vedra. It is actually in worse condition than any course I've ever played.
Winter greens
Fairways great shape. Greens in very rough shape with winter weather conditions.
Heavy Rains
The course took on heavy rains the night before so we only allowed to play the back 9. They pulled us off the course after playing 9 but gave us a free round at a future date. I like the course and have played there many times but the greens are BRUTAL!
good golf
greens were in terrible shape. fairways were excellent , rough was fair tee boxes were good
Wait til they get greens back to play
Greens are dead - and I do mean dead. Few tufts of grass here and there but that was it. So much so that asked a couple guys driving by that worked there if there was new ownership or financial troubles. Said their water pump broke for 9 days and greens died.
Other big problem I noticed was the bunkers - most were just packed clay. No sand. That was just poor maintenance.
A real shame because the course was very pretty and could probably play pretty tough if it was in shape to play a real round - but it wasn't.
Not worth playing.
We have played this course before in prior years.
We were looking forward to playing it again.
Huge disappointment. The greens are awful.
Course needs a lot of attention and cleaning up.
GO ELSEWHERE
Course condition is unacceptable to any golfer with any sense. Greens were horrible and on a scale of 0ne to ten with one bad it is a one. Unputtable on virtually every green. Huge dirt spots and very thin grass where grass actually may be growing. Sand traps? What sand? Hard packed dirt and water in most of them. None looked like they had been worked on for weeks. Don't bother folks go elsewhere.
Go elsewhere
Course in terrible condition. I don't care if it is January this is as poor as it gets. Greens had huge bare spots and were very very thin where there happened to be SOME grass. Sand traps? What sand? Hard packed gray dirt and water in some. Tee boxes poor. Fairways thin grass also. Cart Path was broken and in very poor condition. Staff friendly. So what? Not here to meet friendly staff although that is nice, I was here to play golf and never again. Go elsewhere.
ABYSMAL GREENS. Not even worth half of what I paid ($40)
Pace of play was great...because no one wanted to play such a terrible course. With a name like Ponte Vedra G&CC at Sawgrass I expected A LOT more. On par...or should I say double bogey, with Mill Cove.
We have enjoyed this course for the past 4 years but have been disappointed in 2013
The course used to be fun and challenging but it 's not now. The Greens are burned out and like concrete. Weed out number grass. I just hope the course can get back in shape. We go back every month in hopes that it has improved only to be disappointed. We only wish the best for Ponte Vedra Golf!
Greens are not good. Lots of weeds in fairway and around green
The cart was not cleaned before we got it. The sanding box was full of trash. No Ranger. Felt sorry for the people who worked there. They seemed frustrated with management and lack of care for the course and facilities.
Nice, but could be great
The Ponte Vedra Golf and Country Club has arguably one of the best layouts in the area. Anytime a golfer wants to challenge their game and to use every club in their bag, then check this track out. It will give you a test! When I played the course in early December it was in decent condition however recent rains had left the fairways very soft and mushy. The greens also were just starting to grow in their winter grass and they were a bit bumpy in places, although still plenty fast. For an weekend afternoon round, the pace was also very good.
Extremely unprepared, not worth it
We got a great deal on this course through golf now but our 1:40 tee time didn't get off until 2:30,. The course was over sold and we had to wait not only for carts but just to tee off! They did not have enough carts and the pace of play was abismal. We only got through 10 holes before it was too dark to play. The greens were in poor condition and the cart paths seemed like you were in a 3rd world country. Will not go back nor recommend.
Fun course
Nice course to play. Needs to improve the greens, were a little burned although playable.
This course has a great layout
The staff was very friendly. they have a nice practice facility and the layout is great. Lots of doglegs well protected by sand and water. Water comes into play on almost every hole. The fairways were in good shape but the greens were in very poor condition. All in all a very enjoyable experience.
so many are better
this course requires maintenance. poorly kept greens. nice tract of land that is not taken care of
i think this course is making a comeback
First time playing here but I've done a lot of work all over this course for years. I personally think it looks better than it has in a while. The fairways were good. The greens need work but for $25 you could do much worse. This course is pretty tough and there is water I believe on every hole. I absolutely loved it but serious golfers will be disappointed (because of the greens).
