The Oak Bridge Club (formerly known as Ponte Vedra Golf & Country Club at Sawgrass) in the heart of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., sits adjacent to the famed Players Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. The 6,413-yard, par-70 Arnold Palmer design features water on every hole, tree-lined fairways and undulating greens. Oak Bridge favors accuracy and strategy over power and distance. New owners have upgraded the clubhouse and introduced a new restaurant, The 3 Palms Grille. A tennis center is home to 10 Har-Tru clay courts.

Horrible greens
Course was packed on beautiful Saturday. They did not pair people up so twosome and threesomes were out among foursomes and pace of play was terrible. We had to wait on every hole.
Greens were in terrible shape-probably the worst I've played on all winter. Clumps of grass, bare spots, sand patches. Putting really was not even fair. For the price they charged you would expect better conditions.
I will be reluctant to play here again unless I hear the greens have been repaired.
Be careful before booking
This course had burnt out greens (yes, every one) that boasted more sand/dirt patches than grass, extremely poor fairways, also patchy with very little grass. The bunkers were dirt and hard packed. We did not see one maintenance worker while were there. I rank this course as the WORST course I have ever plated, and I have played some poor ones. My playing partners were all of the same mind and we felt that even paying $30 was a gross overcharge. I felt the clubhouse staff should have told us about the conditions prior to our teeing off since I specifically asked why we were the only ones at the course when we checked in. The response was that it was a little misty. It is a shame that this course is not maintained as the layout is great.
Course is in horrible shape.
The golf course is probably the worst course I've ever seen. The fairways are full of weeds and the greens are nothing but dirt
Poor conditions
This course is in v ery poor condition. The greens have very little grass on them and are bumpy. Two young men were in a cart ahead of us when we started but by the third hole there was a second cart with three young men in it and all five were golfing, sharing clubs. It took us 2 1/2 hours to golf the 9 holes and it was so late by then we could not start the second 9 holes. We went into the pro shop and they gave us a rain check for 9 holes.
No green on the greens
Greens were dead no grass except for 9 and 18 the ones by the clubhouse.
Laughably bad shape
Look, many years ago this was a nice course, and there's still nothing wrong with the layout. Unfortunately, though, this place is now a total goat ranch. Worst greens I've ever seen in NE Fla... and I live here! Cheapest place around for a reason.
Worst green conditions ever seen
A shame
With this winter damage
Close and wait and repair
what happened?
I was shocked at the condition of this course considering it's location. It was terrible and I'm not sure how sawgrass let that happen. It's a shame.
Ponte Vedra Country Club
Disappointing conditions at a usually nice course. Have always enjoyed playing what is a challenging layout, but not this time. Price was indicative of the conditions, although in past years we payed even less. Was told by a member that they did not overseed the greens this fall, and with all the cold weather the greens suffered as a result. Most
of the greens had widely spaced tufts of grass and putting was like bumper pool.
Good value
Hole layout is outstanding. Lots of water along fairways and greenside. The tee boxes and fairways were in good shape but the greens were substandard.
Stay away!
This was the poorest conditioned course I have ever seen. There was no grass on any green. The fairways were nothing but patches of weeds. The bunkers were like concrete.
Even at $17 for nine holes this was the poorest value I have ever experienced.
This course needs to be closed and completely refurbished!
Like the layout, greens little rough
Like this course will go back in spring when greens in better shape, overall challenging and fair lay out
Course is in terrible condition - no grass on the greens
Not worth ever playing the course again as long as it is not in good repair - its a joke and we never were so happy to finish a round ... we wanted a refund and deserved one!!!!! Literally, ther was no grass on the greens - the fairways were in pretty terrible condition as well ... but the course itself is a pretty nice layout and pretty tough.
Not what I expected
I agree with many of the other reviews. This course has a very nice layout with lots of water and a lot of potential. The title of "Ponte Vedra at Sawgrass" had me thinking this was going to be an awesome day of golf. But it didn't take long to start feeling duped. Sadly, the greens were absolutely awful. Putting became a joke as we kept seeing putts roll toward the hole and then wobble off line. The sand traps were hard and not raked. It seemed like there was more sand on the greens than in the traps. OK, that was an exaggeration, but conditions were not good. I really hope they can get their act together so that they don't go out of business..
Terrible Condition
Save your money , the greens are dead , the traps have no sand . Sad , because it is a nice layout . I spoke with a staff member and he said the water pumps went out in October and they don't have enough money to maintain the course . The snack bar didn't even have lids for the cups . Probably about 2 drivers away from the Players course and I guess they are trying to sucker people in by the name .Its a good 10.00 golf course . Sorry , hated to write this review .
Awful
When we arrived, there were over ten people waiting for carts at the bag drop. We were supposed to tee off at 1:10pm but at 1pm, were advised that there were still about six groups ahead of us to tee off. There were still three separate groups on #1 so things were unbearably slow. Advised we could hit the range. The clubhouse had over ten people in line. I enjoy the layout of this course and will usually play once a month there. However, I won't be back. A wait for carts and unbearably slow play on a course with six par 3's isn't my idea of a good afternoon.
Don't waste your afternoon
The course is in terrible shape. Most greens are void of grass and the fairways aren't much better. It is a nice layout but appears that the course is preparing to go out of business.
Course in terrible condition
The course was in awful condition. Layout was good and staff very friendly and helpful but no food in bar.
