Panther Lake at Orange County National

First time playing at Orange Countty. Massive golf complex. Friendly staff. Panther course was an excellent condition. Fast screens, plenty of sand traps, and I’ll have adequate sand in them.. fairways aremanicure very well. Aside from a hole number nine. I believe the fairway is in pretty rough shape aside from that I will be back.

OCN is a very tough track. You have to know your game when you step to the first tee. For most casual golfers it is a difficult course. We have played there many of times. We unfortunately were behind a group that was over there head and did not use golf course etiquette. We waited on every hole from the third hole on. Not once did they offer to let us play thru when there was no one in front of them. They knew they were holding us up too. Met one of them in bar later and he was very apologetic about the situation but he was matched up with the other 3 and they were not interested in letting us thru.We were a twosome and play with pace. There was a ranger that stopped to talk to us a few times and he knew we were waiting, disappointed he did not mention to them to let us thru. He saw them struggling as we did. Course was in good shape, plenty of greens keepers out there working. Unfortunately the slow play ruined our day. Frustrating when you spend more time in your cart watching others struggle than playing the game.

A course we truly enjoy and can be played well, but is challenging. Facilities are first class. Course condition is very good, team friendly and work with you - they listen and act; and one that we love to come back to every time we come to the region.

The menu choice in the restaurant is limited for a course of this status, but I admit I come for the quality of golf!

The course was in great condition and the overall experience couldn’t have been better. They have a great halfway house (food) and the beverage cart was always around when you wanted it.

ONC, where do I start…

From the drive up I knew this was a special trek, greeted at Bag Drop by a couple young fellas ( makes me sound kinda old….), hooked the bag up, made sure I was headed in the right direction. Guys in the Pro Shop were awesome as well. Worked my way around, probably the largest, practice areas and range. Awesome amenities.

Made my way to the Starter at Panther’s Lake, greeted accordingly & offered frozen towels and free oranges too. Paired with a Father & his 2 Sons, Great Folks, Good Times.

Course is immaculate, Fairways and Rough are top notch, Green could’ve looked better, but performed like some of the best I’ve played. Great Round, AWESOME course and layout. In town for business, wish I would have played multiple times, I’ll be back without a doubt, even with the hour+ commute.

Open fairways and course is in great condition. Staff and facilities were fantastic. I’d play this course again.

This was one of the more fair but challenging courses I’ve played anywhere in Florida. Course was in great shape and for the most part was right in front of you. Honestly no crazy hidden trouble that you get from a lot of courses. I would definitely recommend and would love to play it again

This is probably the 3rd or 4th time I have played this course, and for a public access course that gets a lot of play, I was impressed by the condition of the course. Not to say it couldn't use some TLC but as I said, for a course that sees a lot of play from a lot of different skill level players, it was in admirable shape. I will definitely play here again when I am in the area.

We booked this through Golf now. On the seventh hole, we were completely rained out with bad lightning in the area. The Pro shop said we had to get any kind of rain check through Golf now. But nobody at Golf now has responded and this is very disappointing.

Played a fun 4 hour round about 830 today. The staff was friendly and the course didn't disappoint. Conditions were excellent despite lots of rain yesterday. The course is friendly off the tee, and I would do better with some course experience next time. The included lunch was a nice bonus! I will be back.

As always staff is awesome, some slow groups ahead but the Marshall was on top of them, #9 hole is back to normal. The rough was a touch long, but expected on a challenging course, ob was very long. Best I've seen panthers condition in the last few months.

I will say the greens were fast and slow, ball seems to decelerate quickly on some greens, others it would just roll roll roll.

I'll chalk this up to summer conditions.

And to all the other people playing..... REPAIR YOUR GREEN DIVOTS!!!!!!

I generally fix at least 2-3 divots every green wheni walk on, but every green had dozens of divots that needed fixed, not a mantainence issue, but a player issue, just repair your divots!!!!
