Golf Club At Terra Lago - North Course
About
The Golf Club at Terra Lago boasts two 18-hole courses, the North and the South, that provide some of the most stunning and unique views of the Coachella Valley. Formerly known as Landmark Golf Club, it was home to the PGA Tour Skins Game from 1999 to 2002, which meant it has hosted a slew of big-name players including Greg Norman, Tiger Woods, and Phil Mickelson. Terra Lago's North Course is the longer of the two at 7,060 yards, which is partly a reflection of the dramatic elevation changes that the golf course tumbles across. From the seventh tee box's lofty perch, you'll get a panoramic view from one end of the valley to the other, making it the golf course's most scenic hole. But it's most challenging is a daunting par 3 with an island green that was the featured hole during the Skins Games.

Slowest round ever
No practice facility open and they were literally out of everything to eat in the pro shop. The sprinklers also turn on midway through the round for 45 minutes which increased the slow play. Also the sprinklers doused my bag when i was on the green putting when they turned on. Had to run 80 yards to the cart to move it out of the sprinklers. Pro shop staff was rude as well. At least have your customer service be nice to the people playing your course at the very least. Course was in good shape though.
Bad taste in my mouth
Beautiful course with many challenging holes. The young guys that took our clubs and got us carts were awesome!
Very pleasant. As well the starter was very nice to deal with.
The beverage cart girl was very nice and helpful. It was embarrassing for her as at 1 pm she ran out of sandwiches and was told by her manager they would not be making anymore. Unfortunately now the bad. My wife was checking us in and the 2 men behind the counter were very curt! It was like you were taking them away from something more important than helping her. They reminded me of the 2 grumpy Muppets, Waldorf & Stadlor! Maybe they should think about a different line of work. Pace of play was extremely painful. 5.25 hrs! No Marshall around. Not sure he would have done anything anyways. It is unfortunate as the course is very challenging. The sand traps definitely need some care but as our pro from home says, you shouldn’t hit in them anyways!
Not great
Poor condition overall and lack of yardage markers or gps on carts was disappointing. No gps I get but no yardage poles or sprinkler heads was difficult. Some great views though
slow
They were shoving 4somes out every 10 minutes which made the pace of play very slow and the group behind us could not wait and kept hitting into us till they injured my buddy and we almost got into a fight.
Golf course hole info
The scorecard should have a little map of the course so that you can follow. I know where you are.
Good day
Course was wide open by mid morning. Played as a single. Went around in 3 hours. Course is green and greens are lush. ( a bit slow Bermuda grass).
Nice layout and conditions
I was a little worried about all of the course conditions after all the rain they got a few weeks ago, but the course was in great shape. We were the 1st group off so pace of play was awesome.
Fun Course
Fun course to play. We play it every time we come to the desert. Wish they would reopen their restaurant.
This course has a nice layout...
The South course has a nice layout. Some holes had some small post-storm issues, understandable, but unfortunately not well managed. They played split tees, to get more out early to beat the heat, but did not block out 2hrs for the crossover. We made the turn and had to wait 40+mins to allow other crossover groups and new groups to tee off. Our round ended up being 5hrs and 45min.
The course should a give a discount by the way the field was.
Fun Layout at Terra Lago North
We played here in the heat of August, a few days after the Hurricane/Tropical Storm blew through the valley. Surprisingly, the course was in pretty good shape considering -- though there were a couple of new "lakes" on the front nine. There were a few rough spots here and there and on a couple of greens, but overall, I really liked the track, enjoyed my round and will definitely play it again. The signature peninsula hole and the island green back to back are great holes for a closing stretch. TIP: Bring a Cooler! No cart girls were there the day we played. Fortunately, we had a fully stocked cooler that we emptied over 18.
