Golf Club At Terra Lago - North Course
About
The Golf Club at Terra Lago boasts two 18-hole courses, the North and the South, that provide some of the most stunning and unique views of the Coachella Valley. Formerly known as Landmark Golf Club, it was home to the PGA Tour Skins Game from 1999 to 2002, which meant it has hosted a slew of big-name players including Greg Norman, Tiger Woods, and Phil Mickelson. Terra Lago's North Course is the longer of the two at 7,060 yards, which is partly a reflection of the dramatic elevation changes that the golf course tumbles across. From the seventh tee box's lofty perch, you'll get a panoramic view from one end of the valley to the other, making it the golf course's most scenic hole. But it's most challenging is a daunting par 3 with an island green that was the featured hole during the Skins Games.

Course for Good Golfers
The course is for good golfers. It is hilly and plays long. The greens are elevated and if you miss severe slopes and bunkers. The layout allows you to see the holes ahead of you pretty well. The greens are difficult to read and to make putts. The carts do not have GPS and yardage was hard to get quickly, there were some sprinkler head yardage. The snack bar/food between nines took a while and another group went through. Overall a tough interesting course but I would say for good golfers really.
Great track, slow play
Course in great shape. Need a Marshall to push slow groups. Driving range closed during prime season made no sense.
Test of skill & accuracy
The course was in great shape. The bunkers were well maintained but very difficult to avoid. Some of which were incredibly hard to hit out of. The constant wind was great on half the course and a pure yardage killer on the other half.
Staff: Waited 10 mins for a cart, which made us late to our tee time. We were told the coolers were supposed to have water bottles after we finished. They did not. Cart guy pulled up our cart, got out and walked away. There was no marshal at the first hole to manage the tee times or provide insight, pin placement, or tips. No beverage service. No food aside from chips available at the turn. Marshal showed up on the 17th hole after we tee'd off and told us to pick up our balls and head to club house. No one there to help with bags. We were told to walk around the clubhouse from down below to our cars as we couldnt drive the carts to unload.
They need customer service help and maybe a few employees. Course was a lot of fun to play and very challenging.
Living off the past
Terrible staff and gimmicky holes … wind is brutal on this side of hwy 10 … blowing 15-25 .. .. seems it’s always like that ..
Ridiculously Disappointed
I purposely booked the North course. Anticipating viewing and being challenged by a course that had been recommended.
Upon checking in. I was only advised that I would be playing the south course. ONLY after noticing on my receipt a payment for the South course.
I immediately asked the proshop individual who advised a tournament was booked for the North course on this day and I would not be playing the course. No other option existed.
I would never have booked the south course. No refund was allowed.
I'm not happy with the course or with Golfnow allowing me to book a course that was NEVER available.
Will NEVER be back here.
I spent a generous amount on good golf courses in the Coachella Valley in the last two weeks.
This will be a course I will advise everyone I know to never play
Love the North course
This has always been one of my favorite courses but it is getting pricy. I also found the pro shop check in person very unfriendly. Not sure I will play it again because of his attitude
Great Course
L‘This is a very difficult course.l. If you don’t leave your approach shot on the green you will suffering. With that said, it is in Mint Condition right now
Glad to be back
Nice layout and a good test of golf. Greens are challenging and treacherous; with many difficult and deep bunkers but a fair and challenging test.
Too expensive
Love the course, it was in very good condition but the man that checked us was not friendly at, in fact a bit rude.
Good time
Enjoyed the course, pro shop was friendly and accommodating. Course could use a bit of tlc, but greens were excellent and the layout is challenging without being abusive.
Great desert course
If you like desert courses, you should play the North course. Condition of course was great. Has elevation changes of 50 feet. It even has a par 3 with a green surrounded by water.
Good track but a touch annoying.
Was the day before youth tournament so pace was terrible. Track is fairly nice but hard to say bc it was impossible to get a rhythm. Balls for the range much be purchased in the pro shop before going to range.
Great landscape
North course was in great shape. I’ve heard this place has taken a dive the past couple years. While facility and crew have definitely fallen of from the resort golf it was a couple years ago, there’s no denying the beauty of the North course. It’s in great shape. It’s a good value for the area
Challenging Layout and tons of Fun
Setting up for you second shot is a good idea on this challenging course with generous landings for your tee shots. The real challenge lies in landing the green in regulation. Sand, water and waste area abound as you near the undulating greens. Once on, varying slope and speed of the green can frustrate even the most accomplished golfer. The Fun is in the challenge!
Making par or birdie is cause for celebration on Terra Lago North and I look forward to many more challenges and celebrations there in the future
Fantastic
I loved the course set up! Nothing was out of place. The north course had fantastic views. Greens were a little slow but very true! Will play again!
Course in crappy condition
No grass on fairways and bunkers were terrible. We found out that the course was actually going to be closing the next day for overseeding. We definitely would not have paid close to 100. Each had we known it was in such ghastly condition
