About
Formerly known as Landmark Golf Club, the Golf Club at Terra Lago was the host of the PGA Tour Skins Game from 1999 to 2002. The club's impressive guest list includes Greg Norman, Phil Mickelson, and Tiger Woods. There are two 18-hole courses available called the North and the South. At 7,044 yards, Terra Lago's South Course is just barely shorter than the 7,060-yard North Course but they are equally challenging. The South is known for having one of the club's most unique and memorable holes, the par-4 second. This narrow hole runs alongside a wide canal that makes anything hit to the right impossible to play. The unique part of the hole comes as you approach the green. To cross the creek, rather than having a traditional wood bridge, the course designer crafted a bridge from an old rail car, which explains its nickname as the "Boxcar" hole.

Repeat visit. Decent value compared to many of the overpriced courses in the valley. Pristine, no, but a challenging layout with many great views. Traps are all waste traps as is the case these days with all the lower prices courses. Friendly staff.
Great course and great value
Greens, tee boxes and fairways were in great condition. Traps were washed out a bit due to heavy rain night before. Finished round in 3.5 hours. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back.
Not worth it
Poor condition generally. Got lost 4 times between holes because signage is very poor. Checkin and starter personnel are unfriendly and give the impression they are not enjoying what they do. Course in general is scruffy and unkempt.
Always under construction
Very slow to play. All areas looked to be under construction. We played this course 7 years ago.
Won’t play it again.
Also,no beverage cart and we were not told this by Proshop or starter.
Poor directions
The directions on our confirmation email were totally wrong. They should either be deleted or fixed.
My thoughts
It was OK. However the driving range was not open and the putting-chipping green was not open. There was no water available on the back 9 and there was no refreshment cart. Lots of improvement is needed.
Disappointing
The Terra Lago South Course has potential but it feels like the staff has totally stopped maintaining the facility. There's no restaurant, multiple greens had areas with missing chunks filled with sand, and most of the bunkers were like hitting off of clay.
Also the cart GPS was totally out of whack and multiple times during our round the cart wouldn't go forward because it thought we were out of bounds despite being on the cart path. We had to drive in reverse down multiple cart paths which was funny at first but pretty inexcusable when it happens 5+ times.
I thought the layout of the course was actually somewhat interesting but it feels like they've stopped trying to keep the course and its amenities up to the standard you usually get at any mediocre course.
Terra Lago plays to its strengths
Great course for the $$, and then some. Fairways, greens and layout are superb. A better lounge, and a free driving range would be nice. Add a. Opulent bucks to each round and make the range free, as do most other courses.
I’ve played this dozens of times and it’s a challenging round. Never disappointed, other than some areas of very rough messy waste areas. But a great course and very good value!!
Poor condition
Played the South Course this morning. The staff were less than helpful, the course was in terrible shape, and the value is poor.
The holes are fun and have great variety.

I really like this course! This was our last golf day of our trip but if not, I definitely would have played this course again! The badlands were great. Challenging & fun!!
Worth playing
Some direction signage between a couple of holes could be improved upon but the course was in very nice condition. Checkin personnel very pleasant and baggage handling was top notch.
Grumpy Staff in pro-shop
Title says it all, with these 2 exceptions: starter was super friendly, cart-girl was awesome. Despite warnings about strict adherence to pace of play, we were unable to finish our round...only got 15 holes in in 4 hours. Staff swarming the course to tell us they are closing, maybe they should have been paying more attention to pace of play and we all could have finished......
Warning, club rentals expensive, in our case, more than the green fee🤨
