About
Formerly known as Landmark Golf Club, the Golf Club at Terra Lago was the host of the PGA Tour Skins Game from 1999 to 2002. The club's impressive guest list includes Greg Norman, Phil Mickelson, and Tiger Woods. There are two 18-hole courses available called the North and the South. At 7,044 yards, Terra Lago's South Course is just barely shorter than the 7,060-yard North Course but they are equally challenging. The South is known for having one of the club's most unique and memorable holes, the par-4 second. This narrow hole runs alongside a wide canal that makes anything hit to the right impossible to play. The unique part of the hole comes as you approach the green. To cross the creek, rather than having a traditional wood bridge, the course designer crafted a bridge from an old rail car, which explains its nickname as the "Boxcar" hole.

Going down hill
Last time we played this course was before the lock downs. Came back to the desert for the weekend and we were very much looking forward to playing here again. Sadly, the course is a shell of its former self. The course is brown, even in the fairways, and the bunkers are cement with weeds and grass growing in them. In fact, it looks like there are weeds intentionally planted in the bunkers. Guys we played with had played there before too and we're equally surprised by how poor of shape the course is in. The north course appears to be the only course they are maintaining. Do NOT waste your money here. We will not play it again.
course condition is not good
Most fairways have spotty grass and VERY thin lies. Bunkers in bad shape, many washed out. I was in 9 bunkers only 2 had adequate sand.Greens were hard and inconsistent in speed.
Tee to Green solid. Greens? Not to much
Reviews had centered around pace of play and quality of the turf, so I was a bit sceptical.
I figured if I played early enough, the greens would be freshly cut and pace wouldn’t be an issue.
I was half right. Playing early is the way to go, no issues there.
Greens on the other hand, I’d say it’s half the courses fault and half the other players.
They are badly in need of some additional seed and water, but the larger problem was the abundance of ball marks that other players I guess refuse to repair.
It takes 5 seconds and makes a world of difference for everyone else playing the course.
Great Winter Round
The course was in very good condition for Feb, especially the greens. The course was fun to play and quite challenging at times. I am from the Midwest so this layout was very different for me and I would highly recommend anyone not from this area to play this course! Will play again!
In terrible condition
I’ve been playing this course for 20 years or so. The design is very challenging. Unfortunately, the course is now in terrible condition. Sad!!!
Slow play
Had to finish early after 15 holes because the back nine was so backed up. That is typical for this course when busy - lots of groups wait to hit off the tee until the previous group get off the green . Marshalling would help but they are rarely around.
