Anaheim Hills Public Country Club

Finished in a little over 4 hours. Greens very fantastic and course was such a great value for the money. The only issue is some of the holes are next to each other and balls fly by you. We had 4 different balls on different tee boxes come close to us with no warning. Two were from elevated tees somewhere else, one was from someone trying to cut over the mountain trees and one was on the fairway towards the end of the round. No warning so not sure if it’s more of new golfers or just the layout. Enjoyed the course but will stick to other places as I don’t enjoy the flight risk. I also wish the green and black tees were spaced farther out. Most holes really didn’t seem like much of a difference so made more sense to play black since not a long course.

The course is in really great shape. Hole number one is now open, with the newgreen. All the greens today were an exceptional condition. The only downfall is that hole number 12 has a temporary green. The shop said for about three more weeks as they redesign the hole. Other than that, the fairways were nice, the pace was awesome. We played on a Monday at 9 AM. For the price I thought the course was great

Temporary green on Hole#1 and #12 was tougher than fairways.

#1 and #12 are reconstructed and temporary greens are tougher than fairways. Every hole had area under repairing and service. Not valued with the price at $90.00 for afternoon tee time. 50% discount would be reasonable.

I love trying new courses and was excited to play Anaheim Hills. The weather was absolutely perfect! The rate was a little higher than I prefer to pay, so I was expecting something a little nicer. When we got there we were told that 3 holes were "under construction". I asked exactly what that meant and was told we would be playing to "temporary greens"...which means low-cut fairway grass. That NEVER works, but it also shortened the holes significantly, which sucks. PAR 5 went to 3 :(

4.5 hours around, fine greens, but hole 12 is being mostly re-made, a great shame. It will be a few months before it's playable again.

I'll wait until September (at least) before returning at full price.

Good: One of my favorite courses in the area. Well maintained, challenging, fun.

Bad: Slowest I've played in 3 years. Unspeakable. I paid $185 for me and my friend. Started 18 minutes late, and after nearly 6 hours we still didn't finish. Absolutely not worth that money if you can't manage the flow. I don't like reviewing things, but it stings a bit more when I have emailed them twice and still haven't had a reply.

Played at Anaheim Hills several times previously and have enjoyed the the course. This round was not as expected;

Positives - a starter now at 1st tee is a welcome change since my previous rounds - probably 18+ months ago.

Practice areas are better and good for putting / chipping.

Negatives - temporary green on 1st hole and major construction with noise and grounds vehicles with gas emissions driving were major concerns.

Tee boxes with different colors were confusing.

Fairways were not well maintained with many dry patches with no grass.

Pace of play was horrible, and no Marshall in sight to keep players moving in front of us.

Overall - price paid for an afternoon tee time was about right for conditions, but be aware of maintenance and consider waiting to play until fully completed.

Course was in pretty good shape. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Pace of play wasn't horrible but could be improved upon. That being said though I'd recommend this course and look forward to playing there again.
