Cal for conditions
Played this coarse a few times , very nice, unfortunately this time the greens were herendous , upon booking no mention of aireating and sanding the greens, would have played another coarse. Like putting on asphalt. Group was not happy.
Large Trrees had falling on some holes , the 5hrs we played
A few down Trees were in are way an when booking a tee time they didn't said the greens were punch an sanded
Great little course
Great day out on the course, pace of play a little slow but not bad considering it was a holiday!
Played golf in 3.5 hours!
Course was in good condition. Young girl sitting behind starters counter with apparently nothing to do giving people weird looks when they walked up. Breakfast was good and relaxing. Sincerely appreciate the special rates for seniors even though I'm not at that point yet. Shows some nice respect.
great pace of play and course conditions
The course was in great condition. The greens rolled great. Played 18 holes in just under 4 hours.
Played here on and off for years, and it is in the best condition I have seen in a long time.
Dont waste your Day
Ummmm wow... never your life pay 40$ for a round here.. Not bad till about the 8th hole then we caught up to the mob.. I actually left the course at hole 14, and between the 14th tee to about a hundred yards off the 15th there were 14 golferssssss..Thats right folks i counted 14 golfers on 2 holes... NO tourneys going on, nothing.... it was a weekday. Super bad day ..go somewhere else!!!!!
Good time
Great place to go out with friends and have a good time. Course was in good shape, other then the bunkers that where pack sand.
Don't try to play on Wednesday morning
There is a women's club who play Wednesday morning. Believe me when I say, don't go. These ladies think this is gab session time, not golf time. I watched as these women took almost 25 minutes to play a hole, with not a care in the world, while the rest of the front nine waited ON THEM! I called the pro shop and told them, but they didn't do anything to get them to play faster. I was not happy and played just 4 holes. It took me an hour and 10 minutes to play and the first hole was wide open.
WHEN WILL THESE GOLF COURSES FIX THE SLOW PLAY PROBLEM????????? While we're young????
Great Time
this time i started at 1:52 which i was lucky before twlight. otherwise it would of been 5-6hrs. we had a two twosomes in front. which our pace was less then 4hrs. but the groups behind us was all stacked. fairways need alot of work. greens are good
sanded greens
First time i played here. Might have had a better experience but the greens were sand recently so putting sucked. Other than that it was good.
Good round
Good paste for the day. Went on at 6:15am finsied by 9:45am
Dad Miller
Still a good course for any golfer! Tee boxes and greens in great shape, fairways in good shape for public course in Southern Califonia. Lots of mature trees can be a problem if you find yourself behind them but otherwise a fun course to play!
Six hour round
After not having any carts available for our tee time we got pushed back twenty minutes just to have to wait for an extremely overbooked course. This was a good reminder why I quit playing there.
Lost money reserving on GolfNow.
Course would not allow carts for riding, claiming it was due to recent rains. However, course was in good condition, with good weather. We were charged their normal rate for walking, so reserving under GolfNow was a waste of time and money, since I had to pay the reservation fee and still received no discount at course. Further, since we had to walk, and started at 1:00, we could not finish before dark, only getting in 14 holes.
Pace of play
Pace of play is terrible. Not worth it to play here for the price of money paid when. 5 hours to play 14 holes, ridiculous. SLOW!! with no consideration for others playing.
Un caring staff
On the 3rd hole approx. 100 yards out I stepped on a ground bee hive and was bit 12 times, the grounds keeping came off his tractor and assisted with chasing bees away which also attacked him. My playing partner informed me that bees are known to migrate coarse. I later informed Marshal and he told me bee are common. Later when I completed playing I informed Starter (Toby Todd), not sympathetic at all, his response was "bees are migratory". I assume he's professional Entomologist, my issues is course knew of bee issues and did not warn to look out for ground hives.
Dad Miller Review
The course was in good shape. I did not have a problem with the course conditions. However, I did have some major problems with other things...
1) The staff was aerating the greens during play. Why was the course not closed for half a day instead of making players deal with fighting the staff and crew moving from green to green
2) Was constantly being hit from behind by the players behind us. Nobody ever came forward to apologize...
3) A foursome was in front of us and they were moving just a tad bit faster than a snail. However, they would not let us play thru! When we pulled up behind them on the tee box they looked at us like we were "bothering them".
4) I complained to the Marshall about #s 2 & 3....his response was "That is the way the local population play and you just have to deal with it." totally unsatisfactory response!!!!!
I have played from east coast to west coast and I have never seen nor heard anything like this! Needless to say, I will never play this course again nor will I refer it to anyone else.
Very user friendly.
Best time to play this track is early AM, unless you don't mind a long round (4 1/2+ hrs.) Course is in good condition and the greens are easy to read. Subtle breaks are abundant, but can be easily seen by the average putter. Had a great time and will return to this course again!
Great course for price
I've golfed in Orange County for over twenty years and can't believe I've overlooked this course. Not great by any stretch, but a fun track that is on par with any muni in OC. Food was great, fairways were decent, and the greens were well taken care of. Looking forward to playing again.
Needs attention
The course was in bad shape. Fairways were very dry. Grass was dead through most of the course . The course was also overbooked. There was three to four groups per hole. I would rather pay double the price to play at a better course.
