Don’t waste your time
I’m not sure what was worse, the gopher holes everywhere or the rock hard/grass infested bunkers. This course has the potential to be really good, just needs to be taken care of. This course was probably really good back in the day but it is a run down has been.
Somewhat shabby
Pro shop was in serious disrepair, as were all other amenities. Most of the greens were in good shape, but fairways and bunkers very poor. Overall had an alright experience, but for $45 there are much nicer places to play a round.

The golf course from h e l l … stay away
Even the course marshals and starters agree the owner sucks and shouldn’t be in the golf industry.
Bunkers are sold mud
Fairways haven’t been cut in months

It was wide open on a Saturday morning well because the course is absolute crap and people would rather save their money and play elsewhere..

Won't go back.
This may have been nice years ago since there is a resort on it. But, it was the worst. Grass in the dirt bunkers. Fairways were awful. Greens as well. No driving range.

It’s a horrible golf course, not worth the money and time to play. Not recommended to play. Should be taken off from GolfNow,

Embarrassment to Golf
I don’t think I would play here again if the round was free we conditions are horrendous. Very sad to see it get to this state.

Should be removed from Golf Now
This course shouldn’t be open and should be removed from Golf Now. Easily the worse conditioned course that I’ve played. It’s sad and really too bad. I wish I knew a golf course investor because this place has potential based on its location and being surrounded by the beautiful hills. An investor could put a few million into it and may have a little gem. I’m sure there is no grounds keeper and they haven’t mowed in 6 months or longer. You can tell the course hasn’t been watered in the last few years and everywhere in the course is fallen tree and palm branches, weeds etc. several times I had to hold down a two foot tall weed with my foot to hit my ball, yes this is after moving my ball.
The tee boxes are kind of nonexistent and super uneven, filled with tall weeds etc. The tee makers are all over the place and don’t match the score card yardages. I.e. the score card may say that the black tee is 50 yards longer but the blue and black tees are within 10 feet of each other - or the blue tee yardage is 495, white tee yardage is 445 and red 415 but the blue and white tees are on the red tee box all with 15 yards if each other.
Don’t even waste your time putting because the greens are in such poor condition.. We would chip onto the green and one hand hit our ball to the hole, pickup and move along.
There are bunkers but no sand in them, they are filled with weeds and wild grass, moss, etc.
Please don’t waste your time. It’s a 30 minute drive with no traffics from Carlsbad and not worth the $40 cost.

Played course a year ago. Swore I’d never go back. Decided to give it another try. No improvements whatsoever. Never again.

Course was long and we got to hit all our clubs. Fairway could use some work and the green were pretty bad.

We left before the round began
This course looked good online, but in person it's trash. The clubhouse was so bad that we decided the course couldn't be much better. The bathrooms were closed, the main room looked like they got robbed, and there was one guy in the clubhouse who could have cared less. The course from the road looked so bad you couldn't even see where the fairways were. Don't pay the money, leave like we did and go play Boulder Oaks.
