Can’t Believe ve how they let this course get this bad!!
Play today and it was ugly.
The green’s on most of the hole were dried up and dead with dirt on them.
most of the fairways was just dirt.
The management of this course should be ashamed of themselves to charge money to play this course.

The end of an era.
It appears to me that Castle Creek has declined to the point it can not ever recover. I have moved on to a course nearer to home and that has grass, no ground squirrels, and healthy puttable greens.
Sad that the new owner has no idea what he is doing.

Brutal
There were multiple divots on the green of every hole. The tee boxes are uneven. Nuff said

worst conditions possible
the couse used to be enjouable to play, not any more. everything needs to be watered. The greens are diseased, the fairways for not fit for cows, the tee boxes are terrible. Either spend some cash on water or close it.It pains me to say this.

Worst course in the U.S
Absolutely horrendous. Not an actual patch of grass on 16 holes. I guess the water pipes broke months ago and the course has seen zero water. Except the two greens that are hooked up to city water. Whatever you do, do not play this course. Waste of time and money.

Don’t golf here
$65 for greens that only have grass on half of them and some include gopher holes. Should be a notice on golf now before you book.

A record breaker
Today I played on the worst condition course in my 70 years. From the tee to the greens, miserable. My guess is it will be closing soon. My golfing partner was warned about the conditions but they still charged full fee! No warm fuzzy feeling today.

Totally Unplayable
Years ago this was a very nice course with a great layout. As it is today, it is totally unplayable; it’s actually inappropriate that they would charge people money to attempt to play this course. The fairways are basically rock-hard dirt and gopher holes, and the greens are a mixture of green or brown wet patches, sometimes with mounds of dirt on the greens themselves. The staff was kind and friendly, but apparently the owner has no business owning a golf course. Let’s hope for better days ahead.

First and Last Time Playing
Tee time great and that's about it. $65 for that course is way too much. No grass on fairways and greens were so slow, bumpy and deep divots all over the green. Our cart had a flat tire. Overall just plain terrible.

This was once a nice course, but neglect has ruined it
The burnt-out fairways and greens, plus the multitude of gopher holes on every hole practically make it unplayable. It's a shame because it's a nice layout and would be a healthy challenge if in decent shape. Unfortunately, it needs a healthy infusion of cash (at least $2 million) and a lot of TLC to make it an attractive option.

First and last
Place sucks for 10$ less u can play pala Mesa way better and green this place is dead like it’s old owners horrible golf course should probably just close it. It’s at the point where everything is predominantly dead on that course

Staff was welcoming and checked us in quickly. Course was dry but we didn't complain our drives rolled for extra yardage. On site restaurant was closed for remodeling.

Worst Maintained Course I’ve Played In CA
I played Castle Creek this morning and couldn’t finish 18 holes - the course was that poorly maintained. There were gopher holes on every fairway, near the greens, and even on the green. There was a temporary green on the front nine that was mentioned upon paying $60+ for this horrible course. The tee boxes were in disastrous shape as well; over grown, weeds, gopher holes, etc. Fairways - quite simply - the worst I’ve played on a course in all my years playing golf (over 25). You won’t have a true putt due to poorly maintained greens as well.
Additionally, the signage is just really poor as well for each hole. If you have never played it, you’ll have questions on what hole you’re supposed to be playing as there are some “blind” fairways from the tee box and you have zero idea where you’re going off the box.
Highly, highly encourage you going somewhere else but there is no doubt in my mind this may be one of the most over priced dumps in SoCal. The rate for this track is severely over priced and I ended up leaving after 9 holes due to the conditions of the course. It was disgusting.
