Castle Creek Country Club

It was the worse course I've ever played. The fairways are either dead grass or dirt. Unbelievable amount of gopher holes. Driving a cart on the fairway was terrible bc of the gopher holes.Tall weeds growing everywhere. Lost a lot of balls because of the horrible course conditions. Not uncommon to lose balls in the middle of the fairway. Every single tee box sign was either unreadable or missing. One sign was a rusty shovel We couldn't find the 10th hole because the sign had been run over. The pro shop carpet was black with filth.

Showed up 20 min before my tee time to find that the club house is locked with boarded up windows, no one around, nothing is maintained. It looks like the place has been condemned for 5 years and just sat there. Then I look over and see the tee box for the first green and what looks to be a semblance of a fairway. No tee box markings and nothing but dirt and burnt grass all the way out the fairway. I immediately tried to cancel and booked somewhere else to play for the day but of course won’t be getting a refund for this. This is barely even a golf course and should not be listed by any company, including Golfnow, promoting this as a place to play. If it’s obvious that no one cares about keeping this course alive….CLOSE THE COURSE. Don’t trick more people into paying to play this travesty.

Arrived for our tee time… whole place shuttered with plywood over the windows. So sad

We played only because it had rained and fairways were turning green. Over priced for run down conditions with no sand in traps, bumpy tee boxes, weeds and Squirrels/ gophers all over the place

I’ve never been on a course that you can tee up perfectly, smack it perfectly, and not find your ball in the middle of the fairway. No drinks, no food, nothing. Some old guy made snarky remarks about us returning the golf cart 10ft away instead of being nice.

I will never play here ever again . This place blows

This place should close down. I didn’t check the reviews BIG mistake, live and learn. Lol We had to call door dash to bring us drinks at the turn. 😆🤦🏻‍♀️👎🏼

No beers or cart girl or good at all. Front check in looks like he hates his job. It's really sad what happened to this place. The restaurant is also closed and there are no amenities at all. Save your money everyone as this place has been devastated.

Needs significant improvement with no fairways and real bunkers are sand. Tee boxes in bad shape. Only good thing is greens in good condition

course is not maintained at all. garbage everywhere. it stinks (literally, it smells bad). do not play here.

When i was growing up in vista in the 80s early 90s, castle creek was one of the best public courses around. Now sadly it has returned back to nature. Is the course for sale? Anyone want to get together and pitch in and buy this thing?

The only thing on the screen on this course was the greens. Fairways and tee boxes we dead not dormant but dead grass and dirt. If they could water maintain and grow the course out it would be a terrific place to play.

The course layout is awesome from the first tee through the 18th green. The signage for the 10th could be better but then when there is no grass on the tee boxes and the fairways are dead not dormant I mean dead that should be priority. The greens were decently maintained with a few repairs ongoing. This course needs some love the pros hop needs the basic of product to be sold there. This place could be awesome with the investment from management
