Castle Creek Country Club

If I could have I would have given this course a minus 10 in all categories. 1) It’s an absolute goat track, my back yard is better maintained and I have a 150 lb dog doing work 5 times a day 2) fairways are narrow and on top of each other so you spend most of your time waiting for other players to clear from your fairway.,3) golf shop worker was rude as heck 4) they had Bud and Coors light.....for $5 a can 5) me and my son went out as a twosome and it took almost 5 hours to get through the round.. we almost left after the 8th hole.....absolute overpriced waste of time and money.

Unfortunately, the only qualms I had with this course were what bothers me most about golfing now a days. Because the course wants to make money, they put groups very close together. That being said, we were hurried 4 times on the front 9 while the Marshall basically hovered the whole time. I would suggest they add 3 more minutes in spacing tee times. It makes it difficult on the beginner golfers who want to get into golfing and enjoy the game. Topping shots and blading wedges exponentially become frustrating when you're being rushed. On top of that, the greens have quite a few dead spots that need a lot of attention. Don't bother reading a put when you're stuck behind a dead spot here, the ball will have a mind of its own. This course is in no way forgiving, and a fraction of a degree off, and your ball will take a long time to find. And if you take the 2 minutes searching that should be given, you're still being rushed by the Marshall. I most likely won't be coming back here.

I have played a few other course since course have reopened. This is the first time I have played Castle Creek which the course conditions were very poor, all restrooms closed except at the clubhouse. No water on the course to drink and was not advised so I could at least purchase water at the clubhouse before we went out to play. During play we were backed up and the Marshall kept telling us at least on 3 occasions to stay a half a hole behind the group in front of us which we were (less than 200 yards from them). Any closer and we would have been hitting them. I must have oversold the course that day. Think I will stick with the other course I play on and can enjoy a day of golf.

Horrible experience. Honestly took 4 Hours to play holes. Every tee box was backed up 4 groups deep. Course looks like it hasn’t Ben mowed or watered all year. Giant dirt patches on what should be greens but, are just shorter grass. This pal e was terrible and staff is just as bad.

Should have figured it out when they were the only course with spots open on a holiday weekend.

So bummed I spent time and money there. Won’t ever head back.

It could be a great place if they took the overpriced fees and applied them to the course.

The fairways, greens and tee boxes are all pretty run down. The greens being poorly taken care of makes it really difficult to putt. Looks like the course has the potential to be nice but it definitely needs a lot of help. Staff were friendly and enjoyable, and it was nice that there was few people on the course and no backups. Food and beverage option were limited and grill was closed. Don’t think I’ll return until the greens are manicured properly.

My Buddy and I have been playing Castle Creek for a while and it has been one of our favorite course. but recently the course is charging $65 for twilight on GolfNow really? if the $$$ goes towards improving the course we can understand, attaching the photos, see the plight of the greens and fairway. would you pay $65 to play this course?

The owners need to seriously consider current market and focus on volume and not premium, this course doesn't have the facilities right now to charge $65, I would go and play East Lake Instead for these prices.

I have played this course a couple of time over the years as conditions have gotten worse. The course was over priced at 15$.

The guy in the pro shop has a very poor attitude and the last time that I played here he was in a foul mood. It's as if he hates his job and is rude with the customers. I thought maybe he had a bad day the first time that he had a edge so this time I had asked the starter why he didn't treat people well and the starters response was that they get a-lot of complaints about him but he still remains working there. It's like your disturbing him when you check in. he also was not wearing a mask, nor the two workers that he was talking to in the pro shop. I would not recommend going there until they get rid of Mr Attitude. Does not start your round in a positive way when you have to check in with him. The other staff seem friendly and helpful. The course has not been taking care off and some of the T boxes are overground and bunkers are very hard with some having weeds grown inside of them. The course has great potential of being a very nice course if the owner would put spend the money to keep up with the maintenance of the course and restroom facilities which was out of order. . ..

Enjoy playing this course and it appears they are working to improve the facility. Unfortunately the grill wasn't open even for take out but understand the situation.

Terrible experience the staff doesn’t care about pace of play, customer service, or regulars. Such a shame seeing this once fun and well kept course go to crap due to the people in the pro shop not caring. Sooooo fun...not :( greens are terrible, Ricky. Do something about it please!

This course has been in poor shape for years. Little to no maintenance over that time also. Within the last 18 months greens were nearly all killed by fungus , carts are so old and poorly maintained we have had to push them after the 14th hole with other cart. fairways are mostly dead grass the only green you see is clover. Most of the help is rude and that especially obvious at restaurant. The bottom line is that at $35.00 it was almost a fair price barely at $65.00 I would never pay that to play there and wouldn't miss it one bit ! Are you trying to go out of business ? I would wish you good luck but no amount of luck will ever help.

This course has a great layout unfortunately the conditions are terrible. I have played nice course for $25 and this cost $65. Needless to say I will never return unless there is a serious improvement in conditions. It’s a shame because the course has great potential.

Course was not in good shape but coming off of the COVID 19 closure, most courses aren’t in great condition.

Don't wasted your time there are so many courses with in 30-45 minutes that are so much better. This course has for at least that last ten years been let go it is in sad shape which is why to every ones surprise they raised rates. Two months ago on a weekend before noon you could paly this course for $35 now they wanted $65 at $35 it was over priced. You are a fool if you golf there now. Check out course in Escondido, Fallbrook , Valley Center and even Oceanside all courses are better and 3/4 of them are less. I really think they are trying to go out of business who ever runs that place is a fool !

Coming out of the no-play month of April the course was in very poor condition. The greens were a strange combination of cooked out and overgrowth making reasonable putting impossible - no fun.

Charging $55 to walk such a poorly maintained course is a crime. Highly recommend avoiding this course.

Played 18 today - booked on golfnow with cart, showed up and they said carts were cancelled last night and had to ask GolfNow for refund- haven't tried that yet but not holding breath for refund.

Staff were nice enough and only reason course should stay open is so they have jobs- otherwise, they should close down based on course conditions...maybe worse conditions I've ever seen at a course:/
