Worst course in golf history
There is not one price of green grass in the whole 18 holes. It’s like playing in a dirt field , I will never play there again as a matter of fact I wouldn’t play there if you payed me to. The rough fairway completely scratched my clubs to there they look like I was playing on concrete. I’m very disappointed
Bown-Dry-Dirt
Started with a rude reception at the clubhouse by the man on duty, stating the GolfNow confirmation number did nothing for him. and then motioned towards the starter saying to go see him.
Of the 4-course emplyees we encountered the starter was very helpful, funny and niceset person of the day. when I saw the first hole i turned and asked him was the entire course "Brown" and he said everyway but the Greens. well he was right but there were several divots and scars across every green. well after a quick stop in the clubhouse for a cold beer we started the back nine that were in slightly better conditions with dry grass rather then mostly dirt. but we only played 3-more holes before we all called it quits and headed back to the cart barn to get out of their, will not play here again unless there is a change in ownrship and the course id reconstructed.

good course for the money
The fairways are fairly dry but trimmed very good so you will get a nice roll for longer distance. The rough areas are also trimmed very short so you don’t lose balls easily. The layout is great. The greens are mostly good though some of them have patchy areas. Good pace of play on Sunday. Great value for money! Hopefully they will get more fund for improvement when more people play this course.

Nice day at castle creek...
Have played the course for many years.....back to when it was called circle r ranch....
Course is getting better.....greens are coming back, but some tee areas and lots of fairway areas are pretty rough.....but I can see the effort, and the improvement...
Some pretty tough holes, lots of tree lined fairways....traps are still pretty hard....fortunately, only one sand shot today....

Needs A LOT of work
You can tell this course used to be nice. But now it's one of the worst courses I've played in the area. I don't think they even have a greenskeeper. Greens are nearly unplayable because of fungus, fairways and rough are basically the same thing, bunkers have no sand, and cart paths/ball washers/facilities are all falling apart. Other than that there's only 2 positives. 1) The people that work there are nice enough. 2) Pace of play is great because nobody plays here. It's really sad because the layout has a lot of potential. But honestly, it's not worth the cost to play here. There are other courses in the same price range not too far away that are in much better condition. If they dropped the price to $10 that's almost too much. If someone injected some money into this course it could be really great.

I'll be back
Unfortunately the course was very dry on most fairways however on the bright side my drives rolled forever. This course will be in good shape come cooler and wetter weather.

Not good
This course was probably at one point one of the nicer clubs in the area. Some mismanagement or other catastrophic issue must have destroyed this club. The woman at the front desk was very kind though. I would comment on the starter, who is supposed to control pace of play, but he had already gone home when I arrived at 12. This course reminded me of the zoo from "we bought a Zoo" before Matt Damon bought it and saved it from bankruptcy. A generous new owner is the only thing that can restore this club to it's former glory.

Course needs a lot of TLC
First of all the staff there are very friendly and helpful. I would go there again because of them but the Course needs a lot of work. Fairways are brown and the tee boxes are uneven. Greens are unacceptable and unplayable. My score would’ve been better had itje greens been a tad been better. This course was probably A premier place at one point. It had a great layout and actually a fun course to play but it’s gone to crap.

worst course in san diego county
This has absolutely horrendous conditions. Tear down and start over knowing you can’t afford water. A dog track is more manicured.
