You can tell, at one ime this was a nice course, but unfortunately due to no maintenance or care, it is a cow patch.

Probably, the worst course we have ever played on.

If it hadn’t been that we paid 100% upfront on Golf Now,would have drove away. You can see why it is only $13.00 on the hot deal

Castle Creek needs a lot of maintenance, primarily a serious upgrading of the greens, which are barely playable, as well as general cleanup. For some reason, they spent a lot of money on useless concrete cart paths instead. That said, Castle Creek is a good value for the money and a decent place to practice on the course. The course layout is generally good except for holes 10, 11, and 12, which play into each other too much. Pace of play on a Tuesday afternoon was very good.

We saw a lot of rain the last month so I was hoping that would help the course out. The greens while not fully perfect like they were 10 years ago, have been paid attention to and are quick. Fairways were sparse but overall conditions were better than I expected. Bunkers had very little sand and were compacted. Not perfect conditions but if they keep the love going this place will win many golfers back!

For a Saturday afternoon pace of play was better than expected. The fairways were average but the greens were awful- it looked like there were several types of grass growing on them and they were all different heights. Putts were changing direction when they would hit high spots of grass on the green. Would not recommend until the greens are fixed.

Rough is pretty rough.....sand traps pretty firm....but always enjoyable

His course suffers from an obvious lack of funding to keep up all course conditions. What could be a fun and exciting experience is adversely affected by the terrible greens and poor fairways together with the tee boxes. Sad and tired, this course needs a lot of care....

I play a lot of goat track golf courses that are not in the greatest condition. I am by no means a snob when it comes to golf courses as I like to play cheap rounds in a casual setting. However, with this course I must say it was the worst course I’ve ever played. The tee boxes were either over watered and slushy or dried out and hard as a rock with dried out grass. It was hard to distinguish the fairway all’s from the intermediate/rough. The fairways were mostly brown with dirt patches on almost every hole. The greens had patches of grass missing, dirt clods, and divot marks on every green. Not sure what the maintenance crew do throughout their day to maintain this course. Again, I’m used to playing on goat tracks but this was way beyond being a goat track. Don’t pay more than $15. You’re better off going to the range.

Employees are as friendly as they can be when no mgt exists to support them in their efforts to make it a good experience for golfers. New owner isn't a golfer & has no food service experience & after recent stroke, hasn't been seen. Golf Now's Case Mgr doesn't do her job to help any, even tho she's been told that their www is wrong in many areas but she doesn't care. We went there an hour early because www said a good breakfast deal was offered until 10:00 - it isn't offered until 10:00+. Our tee time was 10:15! Course is very run down and not kept up at all. Fairways no to little grass and the same for the greens-very patchy and lots of holes. Course built in 1948 and looked like it had never been improved. Don't go and waste your money!!!

Played solo in 2 1/2 hours. Greens were terrible and fairways had a lot of bare patches.

Great value for an afternoon of golf. The fairways are in fairly good shape, the greens are a bit patchy. An enjoyable course for the weekend warrior golfer and those of us who are hoping for bogeys.

This course is in horrible shape from tee to green ...if u like crab grass fairways and dirt blotched greens then it's right up ur alley otherwise don't be fooled by it's description...a positive note ..ball washers were maintained

Since the new management took over the property, the new owner did spend a lot of money to replace the cart path at hole #1 and between hole 10 and 11. They remodeled the restrooms at the golf shop. They are watering the fairways more frequently. But some of the greens in certain holes deteriorate recently. I do suggest the management should exert more effort to fix the green surface. I understand that it would take sometime to address the issue. As a serious golfer, green condition is of paramount importance for great golfing experience. Even though the course is more than 60 years old, I like the layout. It is fun but challenging, especially Hole no. 14 and 16 at the back tee. Staffs are friendly. I do hope Castle Creek will shine again once the green problems are fixed.

You should always expect to get what you pay for and the Creek is a reasonably priced roumd, but when the greens are in this condition the course should be closed. Every green is un playable. Just take the 2 putt and move on.

Very disappointed. Had I known I would have spent my money else where.

I played this course six months ago and the greens were in terrible shape. I was told they would be upgraded.It's been six months and nothing has changed. Crossing this course off my list.

Castle Creek is an old (1948) course which has seen better days. The golf shop and restaurant is dilapidated and rundown. It's best days were 40-50 years ago. The course is in terrible condition. This will be the next golf course in San Diego to be shut down and sold for housing.

The course is in such bad shape no wonder it was only 13 dollars to play with a cart. The afternoon proshop, guy was pretty rude, just like last time we played.

The greens look like they have a horrible fungus. The fairways, well there aren't any. For the price I would play it again just for practice.

There were only a handful of people out on the course, I don't see how it could stay open much longer.
