The recent rains has brought the course back to its past glory, so I would recommend everyone to make the trip to this beautiful course before it takes a beating and falls into disrepair. the fairways and greens are in really really good shape.

For the price and the location, you cannot find anything better in San Diego County.

Waited at every hole. Finally gave up and called the round after 14 holes.

I enjoy the course. It is just enough of a challenge for the average hacker. It has its own little Amen corner at 10-11-12. Make it through without blowing up, you feel pretty good about your game.

I've played numerous golf courses this year in San Diego and Riverside counties, and have yet to play one as poorly managed as this. It is crystal clear that this course has been mismanaged...even the drought can't be blamed for everything. When every other course within a 30 mile radius has managed to at least keep grass and not complete dirt in the fairways, that speaks volumes. Several "fairways" had weeds sprouting up all over them. I hit 11/14 fairways from the black tees, but due to hitting off of dirt most of the time, could not get a decent iron shot into the green. I wouldn't play here again if someone paid me to do so.

Unless you can play for $10 or under, not worth it!!

I loved the course layout and the pace of play was great for a Sunday morning but the conditions were poor at best. Bunkers and fairways were horrible. I would love to give it another try when they find water.

Tee to green are all basically not playable. The course should be deemed "under repair". Appears drought has impacted ability to water the course.

Greens were beat up but at least puttable.

Apparently management allowed a group of five people (including two new players) to tee off which stalled play.

The fairways were the worst I've seen in many years. Very little grass, mostly just dirt. What little grass that was present was sparse and brown. Very difficult to make a good iron shot. Would recommend anyone considering this course to steer clear. I will say that the greens, while a little beat up, were OK when compared to the fairways.

I'm always looking for a good deal on golf courses so when I saw Castle Creek for $35 I though "this is worth a shot." I understand when you offer 18 holes riding for $35 that it will not be in the best condition, but I didn't expect it to be this poor. Calling their fairways blotchy with grass would be an understatement. Very difficult to get clean swings unless you perfectly picked up the ball out of the dirt (even in the fairway). Their green were well maintained I'll give them that, but the tee boxes were quite poorly maintained as well.

It's my understanding that they are building a new well to increase their watering ability of the fairway/tee boxes, but until that day comes I will not go again. Not worth the $35.

Had a golf now hot deal. Arrived at the course about 45 minutes early. Although there was no one teeing off, staff made me wait until my tee time. Pace of play was excellent and made the round in about three hours. Fairways are in terrible shape with no grass anywhere. Lots of dirt and hardpan. Traps have no sand, just hard pack. Green look like fungus growth everywhere. Very hard to hit a straight pot.

This course was in very bad shape with the exception of 2-3 greens. The fairways were dirt and majority of the greens were in very bad condition.

Not much green in the fairways. What green there was in the fairway was weeds. Water won't help this course. You can imagine at one time this course was nice with some challenging holes.

The course was great ... It is challenging because of its narrow fairways but I had some great drives... Greens were great too

Fast weekend round, great beer selection but not much fairway grass.

The course fairways are dry and in most places hard. However the greens and approach areas are in great shape. Not bad considering we are in a severe drought. The price was great for 18 and a cart ,,, coarse has a lot of challenging holes , tight fairways on the back 9 ...

They've really let this course go to downhill, so downhill. Bare fairways, weeds growing through the cracks in the cart paths, greens diseased and painted green. Absolutely horrible condition. Not worth the trip, not even worth the "convenience" fees not to mention the green fees.
