California Oaks Golf Course

The greens were in great condition, speed was a eight out of 10. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The Marshall checked on us twice and showed true hospitality. I didn’t expect a great play today but ....I was surprisingly impressed with the conditions, I teed off at 7 AM and was done before 1030. PS… The course is very unforgiving so you better hit it straight

Course is short with a challenging layout. Good course to practice with your irons. Tee boxes are in rough shape. Greens are in great condition.

Had a great time and the course was pretty good. All of the facilities are pretty old and the course was rough in some spots.

One will either love or hate this course. I choose to love it. Understand what you’re getting for $43, in SoCal...and enjoy. Conditions are not great but bearable. Greens are generally in good shape, with the exception of a few that are very well watered and unrepaired divets. I don’t understand what is so difficult about keeping “your” greens repaired. “Your” refers of course to you and I. Anywho, depending on one’s strategy I love that I hit all the clubs in my bag on this course. There’s a good number of challenging shots along with foreced carry and risk/reward shots that one needs to weigh and decide on. It’s a tough walk, but doable. A good amount of elevation change, of which I enjoy.

Course needs attention. Tee boxes are poor. Greens OK. Fairways dry. Too many golfers... I mean gophers (Caddyshack reference!). We played the whites, the blue tee boxes look like they would be interesting to play. COurse is dry - needs water. Parking is weird - although I found a spot easily. Carts were in OK condition.

It's absolutely awful in my opinion I quit after 9 after the turn just pay to go to any other place. I gave it like 3 shots to redeem itself and it didn't. Very poor design and after the first hole it's not well kept. One par 5 has a giant tree in the fairway that prevents you from hitting driver making it a 3 shot hole... On a par 5... Not good

The poor experience started when we walked in to the front desk. The person who was sitting there was very glum and unhappy. You could tell he wanted to be anywhere else but there. When I told him my tee time he said it was 43 dollars. I told him that I had purchased it on-line for 29 dollars. He said that was for twilight and not the time I purchased. I showed him my confirmation e-mail and he said it doesn't matter and that the rate is 43 dollars. No apology or wanting to try to help things out at all. Just the same glum look on his face. The course itself was not in good shape. The tee boxes and greens were both in very rough shape. The fairways were not very good either. It was very slow playing as well. Would not recommend this course at all.

Fairways are very bumpy with gopher holes. Tee Box are either sand or dirt. Greens are soft and receptive.

- STAFF IS SUPER COOL!

- Not enough carts, so we got delayed one hour from our 11:30 tee time

- expect to wait for carts to come back

- for $39 not a bad course at all, it’s not Torrey so your not pay Torrey prices

Only played front nine due to rain. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially Steven. Fairways dead grass but greens pretty good. Layout, oh my! Target golf for sure. Short holes but harsh penalties for missing the right spot. Always play the high side and think about where the ball will run.

This course has come a long ways. Doc at the front desk is always helpful

First time I play here, I must say all blue tee box are in bad shape, no grass at all, and parking lot is only 20 car space maybe less. Please do not ignore my comment and do something about it.

The fairways were terrible. The tee boxes were equally terrible. Course was just in ugly shape. Pace of play was slow because there were so many walkers due to a lack of carts. The only thing that was redeeming was the greens. They were REALLY soft and responsive. Big greens and smooth for the most part.

Solid overall, below average fairway quality, greens are solid, very narrow fairways not slice friendly as all put the driver away.

They were behind on golf carts when we get there. When we finished they were still behind on golf carts. We pulled our up to be cleaned and watched one of the employees take our cart out of the line to be cleaned immediately and taken to people waiting to golf. The employee didn't even let us finish clearing our trash from the cart.
