General Old Golf Course

Play was incredibly slow. We waited on every shot. At one point there were three groups on a tee. Course management seemed unconcerned about this. We never saw a marshal. Somebody in another group (you know it's slow when you start chatting with other groups) said there was a skins game ahead of us.

This is a nice fun intermediate course. The bunkers and greens are will maintained. The fairways are nice and wide but need a little maintenance. Great staff, always prompt and friendly.

I've played this course many times and have enjoyed the layout. Staff has always been friendly, greear practice green, decent chipping area and grass range. Windy conditions added a new wrinkle to play that provided good practice & if you keep an eye on your ball it was easily located as the course is pretty open. Always worth the money, don't miss the new bar either!

Excellent value for your money. New club house , friendly and accommodating staff members , good practice facility and excellent greens, bunkers have plenty of sand and well maintained .Only negative was grass within fairways can be uneven mainly due to winter conditions and dormant Bermuda grass. Challenging championship layout that's well maintained. We'll be back.

The General Old Golf course was in wonderful shape. Pace of play was good. The greens are fast and in outstanding conditions but just don't short side yourself. I would highly recommend this track for the beginning golfer great place to play. Outstanding practice area. Plays a little long from the tips for an intermediate or beginner golfer but if you up for a challenge play from the tips.

Pace of play is slow. It took almost 5 hours for our 4some to complete the round.

the course fairway were very forgiven but long for me iam a new golfer but enjoy it a lot I try to a least once a week

This course is good for the average golfer, to get out and play a round of golf. The course is in good condition in most parts and some not but your going to get that in a lot of places for the price. Fairways not leveled off a lot, patchy spots, greens looked good alittle hard I thought at times, but then again I didn't hit all of them. Staff I feel was friendly in the pro shop, my golf partner was running late and they had no problem with me getting out a little late off the tee. The pace was slow but the course is located by a Air Force base with some retired men and women who play there, in my mind I can wait a few extra minutes for them to play.

This course is run down. Fairways are terrible and lack even lies. Rough is nonexistent and in need of care. Esthetically there's nothing this course can offer other than the mountain views, which suddenly get interrupted by the hail of bullets noise coming from the firing range RIGHT NEXT to the course. The pace of play on this given Sunday was horrible and I don't remember seeing a Marshall. I would say that the only attractive feature this course has to offer is the greens condition. I would not recommend or come back as there are many other courses that offer more for the money, left very dissatisfied and disappointed.

The fairways were dry maybe because of the cold weather or water rationing. But overall we had a blast , wide open fairways and a couple of challenging holes . Got a Great deal for 18holes plus cart. Drove 90miles to play this course because a friend told me about it. Great course if you lived in the area but not worth the drive.

This was my Second time playing this course, sometime in July and Novermber 2014, well as a new player to the game it was perfect for beginners like myself. Acourse I was paired with someone, and it turned out to a lesson both times. The staff was all on point and knew their players and paired me up both times with the two most nices people, who guided me through every swing, cause i did let them know I was new at this game. Reocommed this course to all players, no matterwhat level you are.

This course is a joke. My friend and I walked off this course. It took 4 hours to play 10 holes. No marshal to help push anyone. Course conditions were that of a cow pasture. Don't waste your time.

Weather was great - pace of play really good and the course was good for the money. Challenging course as well - we really enjoyed it and will return.

The course was way over booked. We had a fivesome ahead of us and a sixsome ahead of them on the par threes we were backed up 3 groups deep. Great to make money but far better to have Happy customers.

This course need to enforce dress code.
Tee time of each group should go by order of their reserve time.

Greens were in excellent shape and the speed was faster than before.
Excellent value for the GolfNow price.

Good time for the money.. Greens were in nice condition but the fairway grass was just ok..

I booked a tee time through golfnow, when I got to the course I was told I would be riding with someone I didn't know and pairing up with 2 other people as well. So I golfed with 3 people I didn't know and believe it or not it was one of the best experiences I've had while playing. I've been golfing a lil over a year and I shot a 104, not too bad for a beginner. Playing with these 3 other guys has really helped me improve my game. Thanks Jeremy, Don and lee, it was my pleasure golfing with you guys!!

General Old is a fun, traditional type course. Their poa greens were just about perfect. Rest of the course was in pretty decent shape too. Would like it if they defined the course a little more and changed out the "dirt" in the bunkers. But I'm being nitpicky. I'll play here again.

The course is always in good condition. Any trouble is visible from the tees. Always enjoy playing the golf course.
