No marshall on the grounds. Play delayed by foursome leading the pace who hit on the blue tee and spraying everywhere. They spent more time looking for their balls. The short cart attendant was rude, refused to let us use air blower to clean shoes.

Carmel Mtn Ranch golf course plays like two different courses in one. The front nine, plays like a normal golf course with moderately difficult holes, rolling fairways and numerous sand traps. The back nine plays like a links course with two holes with water hazards, greens surrounded with sand traps and longer distances. The winter playing conditions were rough with the grass dormant, dirt plentiful and some greens being re-sodded. Also entire course was being fertilized during play. Challenging and fun.

We had an early tee time for Saturday and there was no one out there! It was great.

Greens were great and fast. the rest of the course was needing attention.

Tough course, undulating greens, must stay in fairway or you will regret your poor shots

Need to seed some grasses in the fairways. Fairways of most holes were severely damaged, no grass at all. This course is one of two closest courses to my home and once was one of my favorites. Better fairway condition can make this course a lot more appealing to golfers and bring in more revenue. I don't know why the course management leave fairways in such a poor condition.

Two of our friends got rainchecks previously with promise from one of the pro shop managers to play in any future time-slot as long as it is available. We even called in to confirmed before we went there to play. But the pro shop manager in duty that day refused raincheck committment and insisted to charge a difference of $17. These guys can not be trusted and have no credibility and do not care at all.

Do not play there!

Never again. I like the course, it's close to home, but I've spent my last dollar there. The fairways are very thin and sparse. The greens are inconsistent. The pace of play is horrendous. Never again!

A good course, well maintained even with all the rain we had recently. Not particularly difficult but a very nice round of golf. Free range balls but no range as you hit into a net, but still great for warming up. The prices after noon are fantastic, ours was $28 w/cart!! Staff was friendly, pace was leisurely, not crowded. All in all a great round and a great bargain.

The course was challenging. Many holes were blind holes. Several of the fairways were in rough shape. The fairways were narrow on many holes and sloped. However, the GPS on the carts were a nice feature. If you didn't hit it straight from the teebox, you were usually out of bounds. Greens were average.

Just enough of a challenge for several skill levels and well maintained. We played for $28 each!!!

They were aerating the bank 9, so we played the front twice for $20. Decent condition but nothing special. They tried to cram a lot of people on the front 9. Lots of obstacles in the middle of the fairway, was kind of annoying. In addition the houses were really really close to the green. The first hole, the green is 10 yards from someones back yard so if you hit slightly over you lose your ball. there were several like this. But for twenty bucks with a cart it was a good deal. Had I payed fifty i would be really upset.

We like to play this golf course. Differents fairways, greens fast, personnel polite.

We teed off at 7:45 on a Sunday morning during their aerification special for $25. That in itself made it worth the money even though the greens were still healing from being punched the previous Monday. Two 200+ yard par 3 coupled with several uneven lies from the fairways make this course challenging. Number 14 is rated one of the toughest par 4 holes in San Diego. No holes are back to back so if you miss too far left or right you will be OB. Greens were recently punched so I can't comment on the how true the ball roles, however several greens are multiple tiered.

I will still be willing to pay $50 during the weekend if the we didn't have the aerification special.

We had a great deal through golfnow because the course was recently aerated. The greens wasn't bad. The course is a little challenging because water, ravines, and narrow fairways come into play. It was fun

Great golfcourse with some pretty challenging fairways. Course is well maintained and in good shape. Beatiful clubhouse.
Only negative is somewhat complicated commuting between the fairways: crossing busy streets and going through number of tunnels.

This course has a very nice atmosphere and has some challenging holes, i will definitely recommend this course to friends and family!
