Mission Trails Golf Course

I’ve played Mission Trails occasionally for the past 25 years. This course is in much better shape than it was 20 years ago. The greens are challenging and the fairways have pretty good grass. The bunkers are wet sand/dirt mostly and the tee boxes are not great, but overall, the course is pretty good for the money.

This course is nothing special but for the price it’s the best you’re going to find in San Diego area (mt Woodson is also a great deal but further away). I enjoy the back 9 layout better then the front but it is a good beginner to intermediate level course fairly open with a couple difficult holes on front and back. A few short par 4s help with the scorecard too. Fun fact Phil Mickelson used to play here in is youth and pre teen years. Overall I love this course and it’s close by my work,if I can ever sneak out of the office early you will catch my playing 9 holes in the winter and a full 18 in the spring and summer. I recommend and it’s much better than its neighboring course Carlton oaks.

Great layout but my latest trip was not that great. They put together the blue,white and red tee's. The course was ok anf the grass was tall due to rain. I love the layout. Thia course is worth the visit.

Maybe it's golf now, and not the course, but I had no idea that they aerated the greens so, as you can imagine putting was terrible and slow. I would definitely chose a different course for my short time here.

Front 9 in better shape than back nine. Greens were slow due to sand (conditioning). Excellent value for seniors. Friendly staff

Greens just punched and sanded. Tee boxes need some serious work.
