Mission Trails Golf Course

The staff is great and accommodating. I always have fun here.

My first time playing there and it’s now one of favorites in SD. Although the yardage doesn’t seem too far, there’s some holes that almost force you to lay up and a couple that you can go for. Pace was a little slow but there was a Marshal staying on top of it and pushing slower groups to play ready golf. I forget the hole but we were on a green and had a range ball land by us. It was a little sketchy. Keep your head on a swivel. Tons of fores called out. Definitely a great value for the price. I will absolutely play this course again.

4 years since i was here last....it was ok this time of year....things were pretty green, which was nice to see....a nice round on a wednesday afternoon......hope to give it another try down the road.........

Sand all over greens right now, unaware of the situation until we showed up to the pro shop. Also had a sign on the door saying everyone is playing the back 9 twice so it just ended up being a S-show. I love MT. Been a soft spot for me since I started playing the sport, but this day was very frustrating. I’d call and ask about conditions before booking. I learned my lesson. Wont be back until everything’s recovered.

This was my first time playing this course in nearly 20 years. I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the course. The greens were true, the bunkers actually had sand in them, and the fairways were in great condition. That coupled with the great October San Diego weather made it a truefully great experience.

Pace of place started good but it got worse on the turn. Greens played and rolled well. Fairways aren't too bad... Front 9 played in 1 hour and 30 min. Back played in 3.5 hours. Ambassador showed up, but all I could see him do is look for lost golf balls and collect them...Oh well! Most likely the reason for volunteering.

Short course. Not real challenging for an experienced golfer. Greens were in really good shape

Watch your balls the whole way, you’ll lose em in the long grass.

I try to give every local course a chance and I took one with Mission Trails; unfortunately I will not play again. The grass was ridiculously tall. It seems as if they’re overwatering the course; muddy and squishy everywhere. Also, the range fence doesn’t go high enough so their practice calls all over hole number one. They’re also range balls all over the course which only complicates finding your ball. If it were say, 25-$30 I wouldn’t be so upset but $65 is far too overpriced in my opinion. I would have rather paid another $15 and tried out Mount Woodson.
