Mission Trails Golf Course

This was my first time playing this course in nearly 20 years. I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the course. The greens were true, the bunkers actually had sand in them, and the fairways were in great condition. That coupled with the great October San Diego weather made it a truefully great experience.

Pace of place started good but it got worse on the turn. Greens played and rolled well. Fairways aren't too bad... Front 9 played in 1 hour and 30 min. Back played in 3.5 hours. Ambassador showed up, but all I could see him do is look for lost golf balls and collect them...Oh well! Most likely the reason for volunteering.

Short course. Not real challenging for an experienced golfer. Greens were in really good shape

Watch your balls the whole way, you’ll lose em in the long grass.

I try to give every local course a chance and I took one with Mission Trails; unfortunately I will not play again. The grass was ridiculously tall. It seems as if they’re overwatering the course; muddy and squishy everywhere. Also, the range fence doesn’t go high enough so their practice calls all over hole number one. They’re also range balls all over the course which only complicates finding your ball. If it were say, 25-$30 I wouldn’t be so upset but $65 is far too overpriced in my opinion. I would have rather paid another $15 and tried out Mount Woodson.

Decent course. Layout is good. But the grass off the fairway needs to be cut

Great staff, very friendly. The first hole sits next to the driving range. The range netting is short so there are tons of tangle balls covering the base of the first hole Most of the tee boxes don’t have any remaining grass. Cart path in a lot of the course is in bad shape. Just a sad course that needs some TLC. Again no reflection on the staff p they were super nice and friendly.
