Fun day
The course was is good shape. $15 for a cart which is ok. Some of the par 4 from the blue tee you can hit the green if you are a big hitter and the greens were in good shape so that’s always good.
Bad management
Booked a hot deal on golf now, Carr included. Pre paid as part of the hot deal. GM charged another $15 to ride even tho I showed him I prepaid for cart included. Can’t stand by a course that doesn’t look out for its patrons. Course is eh and price is fine. But GM our of touch with reality and needs some coaching in customer service and ethics.
Way too expensive for poor conditions. Staff was not friendly.
I purchased a Hot Deal from Golf Now that was supposed to include the cart. When I got to the course the man behind the desk told me that my cart fee would be $15, and it did not matter that I had paid Golf Now. If I wanted to play I was going to pay the cart fee. I am very disappointed in both Golf Now, and the course. I cannot get in contact with anyone at Golf Now as they no longer answer their phone.. Probably the last reservation I make on Golf Now.
Pace of play
The course was fine as usual. We played out round in 4 hours, posted pace of play was 430. We were hassled and hit into by the twosome behind us multiple times. It was not our fault that the two groups in front of us quit at the turn. That was my only frustration of the round.
Something was messed up
Booked round on 7/2 for 7/6....was a hot deal—-$25 CART INCLUDED—-but at check-in was told all online bookings are walking only so Cary would be $30—-didn’t wanna raise a ruckus so just paid it——but I KNOW it said cart included on the site....
False Information on Carts
Booked a reservation that included cart and then I read the reviews on how the course plays and realized I should call and ask to make sure it includes a cart. Spoke with Paul and he said it is an extra $15 each player. This information needs to be fixed on this website or else customers will continue to be frustrated with this course.
Mission Trails local cheap golf
Playing here since 2009, same reliable cheap golf this whole time, a local standby.
I play Torrey or Singing Hills or Coronado when I want a picturesque course.
Some scruffy areas but still a great deal for $23 walking fee !
A good time
Longtime Mission Trails golfers know that you're never quite sure what going to get out there. This time, we were happy to get fairly good conditions. Greens were in good shape and rolled nice. You're always going to get the spotty lie in the fairway, especially on the front nine, but we didn't get anything too bad. Bunkers are bad, but there are a number of courses in the county with the same problem after the shutdown. Really concerned about how long it's going to take some of them to maintain their bunkers again. What was really surprising -- and good! -- was the pace of play at mid-day on a Friday. Groups were nicely spaced and we didn't have any backups.
