Friars/Presidio at Riverwalk Golf Club

I played here on a weekday afternoon. The course wasn't really crowded, but there were a number of ridiculously slow groups in front of us. There wasn't a marshal in sight and course management does nothing to help maintain a decent pace of play.

Course was too crowded, even for twilight golf. Had 3 hours and only got 9 holes in. Hoped for 12. Staff was great but limited - only two guys to cover carts and starter function. They needed 1-2 more staff members.

The greens were excellent but other players didn’t repair their divots - which is sad.

The golf cart ran out of battery on the 17th hole (not the first time). It was almost night, so I took my stuff out in the dark and walked back to the clubhouse.

Later that day I realized I forgot my wallet in the golf cart (it was black, so I didn't see with the poor light).

I went to pick it up the next day to find out my money and all my credit cards were taken from the wallet.

Great location, have played for years more than a decade ago and was in town so tried it again. Good condition, greens are in great shape. It’s a pity it will be torn down to make room for more buildings. Sad to lose a local course that is reasonably priced with easy access to so many.

We had a great time! Staff was super nice… brought us a new cart when our battery started dying on hole 15. 😀

For 50-60.00 its worth playing but the 120.00 rack rate plus a cart charge WAY to mush for this place

Tee boxes and fairways. Need seeded. Disappointed the driving range was closed until 9am. Not chance to warm up.

The course was in decent shape, the staff was friendly but I have to say that a 6 hour round is inexcusable. I’ve been playing for 40 plus years and never had a 6 hour round until I played this course. There is no course management as far as slow play goes. You must have patience to play there.

My group was from out of town, and we didn’t know where to golf. We stumbled across Riverwalk, and the location was perfect. The price was decent, and the course overall was in good shape. I would come back again
