Coyote Hills Golf Course

I could ramble on for a hour on how bad this is. Simple put save your time and money this course is pure trash.

Winter conditions right now which means dormant grass and super fast fairways. 7 iron off the tee is right call on most par 4's for 120 left into the green.

I’ve been coming here for years and this is the worse I’ve seen it. Fairways are literally spray painted green. Hard as rocks so your ball launches and rolls off into the hazards more often even on good fairway shots. The actual greens aren’t even pressed. Fairway bunkers have minimal sand in them, and the fringe around the greens looks more like patchy grass and can’t even putt from it 1ft off the green. Paid $80 on a Hot Deal and it wasn’t even worth that much!!

Course needs some love. Was in much better shape 18 months ago. Great course when taken care of properly. Should be 60 bucks for what it is. Not 100+

SoCal public courses are slow play and heavily used. Prices are higher, greens are beat up. Coyote Hills is better than most others. Good layout, nice staff.

This course is maintained well. The greens were in great condition, overall great place to golf. Had some really nice views! Would definitely play again.

Overpriced fees for a course in poor playing condition … fairways are hard as cement and roll will roll for miles into the wash ..seems like they have been dried out and management is ok with that …good luck playing on cement… the greens were decent and probably the only highlight but the truly disappointed overall considering the hype

Paid $100 per person to play here on a Thursday morning (10:30 AM tee time). Giant rip off. Greens were overgrown, slow and spongy. Fairways were either over irrigated and too soft, or dry as can be and rock hard. Fringes were all choppy. It was clear that the course was not as well maintained as it should be. And the bad conditions were just the start.

Rate of play was AWFUL. We were waiting at every tee box, sometimes behind TWO full groups who hadn’t even teed off yet. No Marshall was on the course managing rate of play at all. Also no cart girl until the 17th hole, which is just stupid and pointless.

I play golf on average about once a week. I play lots of courses in OC, and I gotta say this is probably the most overpriced course in OC. It’s literally no better than Anaheim Hills, which charges half the price for 18 holes.

I used to play this course fairly often in previous years, and as recently as last year (2021) it was a much better experience all around. It is no longer a worthwhile course. My group and I decided today that we will never play this course again, unless they cut their prices drastically, which I doubt they will.

DO NOT PAY $100 TO PLAY THIS COURSE!!!!!

I can only say one thing about this course: The Owner(s) need to give the course ambassador the authority to kick golfers off who don’t fix their ball marks on the greens. Warn them once and the second time they’re gone. Every single green, yes all 18 greens, had fresh ball divots that where not repaired or were sand filled with green sand. Yes green sand. So, this is not something new for this course. So before putting your ball,

you had to repair at least 2 to 3 old divots holes. It’s a simple fix; remove the problem people and the word will get out. And I don't care how old or young you are if you can’t fix your divots, take up cards
