Greens and fair ways
This course has amazingly greens perfect for putting, the fairways were awesome, and the sand traps were perfect. First time playing on this course yesterday and I got my moneys worth playing on this course. 10/10 would definitely come back and tell my golf buddies about this course.
Not up to Par
Coyote Hills used to be one of the preeminent courses in North OC. The course needs work. The fairways are burned out, dry & grass is beyond tight. Tee boxes mediocre at best and greens & bunkers in need of repair. No one repairing ball marks does not help. $130 on the weekends for a $65 course. Not likely to return
Course needs lots of work
Fairways need water; tee boxes in poor condition
Greens are medium at best. This used to be one of the best courses in North Orange County; it’s way over priced given the conditions. Disappointed
Definitely not worth more than $70. please don’t waste your money
okay first let me start by saying, i will admit, the course is pretty to look at and there is a lot of elevation change but it is not worth any price over $70. The fairways are brown, tee boxes are not at all level and we’re almost all dirt, and greens are inconsistent and have divots and sand all over them (and they were not just punched). We had a tee time at 12:58 but the pro-shop moved us up to 12:40 without letting us know so we were in the middle of hitting balls and warming up when they called us to the tee, note we spent $22 on two small range buckets and only got to hit like 4 balls each (if i’m playing a course that charges $130 i’m expecting to get free range balls or at least a small bucket for less than $11). second, they sent out a fivesome in front of us that said they were only going to be four and after teeing off at 12:40, we didn’t finish till 5:34 which was almost a 5 hour round when the group in front of us was 3 holes behind. Finally, i just feel like i didn’t get anything worth what i payed for for the course and the conditions. I was expecting it to be nice based on the reviews but honestly i left really disappointed and i just don’t want anyone else to waste that much money when you can spend it somewhere else.
Fun track, but slow pace
Elevated tees, lots of sand and water. Where was the ranger? Maybe too greedy on the tee times - too close together.
Beautiful course
Pace of play was great on a Friday. A good nature, woodsy feel to it. Hazards and changes in elevation make it challenging. Staff was accommodating and friendly.
Great day of golf
Played with one of the marshals, Jack. Enjoyed his company quite a lot. I will see if he is free to play next time I’m in town.
Upgrade needed for Greens
This is my first time play golf here and course is challenging with somewhat narrow fairways but I enjoyed playing here. But the greens are not very good and maybe need to be improved.
