Island Pointe Golf Club

Course was in excellent shape, however their rough is not well taken care of. There are a myriad of areas where the rough should (or could) be cut down. It doesn't need to be left so tall and wild, especially in areas from the tee to the start of the fairway. I was amazed how easy it was to lose balls in areas where this was simply not necessary. Unless you hit the fairway all the time, you're going to have difficulty ... difficulties that simply don't need to be.

The course played great! We had a great time and will definitely be back.

Played this track on the way back from our family vacation to Gatlinburg. Great layout. Loved the fact that there was "no turn." Once you're out there; you're out there. The layout was supreme, and had a lot of fun holes. Shot my career best (+7). Key is to hit your drive in the fairway and get the pin position/yardage right. I don't think I'll ever be back in this part of the country, but I highly recommend to anyone looking to play in the greater Knoxville/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area.

Fairways were ok and course layout was interesting but some areas of rough were very high. The biggest disappointment was the greens. They had been aerated sometime previous and were very bumpy and uneven. Would recommend to play if greens were healed. A lot of holes were by or over river which was challenging.

I really enjoy playing golf here. It challenges my skills and rewards good play. Greens had been aerated the prior week, so I can’t honestly grade the greens. Otherwise, it was great. I’ll definitely play here again.

Good course and layout. They are understaffed and there are lots of areas that need some TLC for the price they are charging.
