Island Pointe Golf Club

Very well manicured fairways and greens. Stay in play or you are in the trees. Love the layout of this course. Bridges need repair while driving across with golf carts though.

I work at another area Golf Course and like to play around Town. Island Pointe GC (River Island) is in great shape, and only showing signs of getting better. I played it early in the season and the greens were slower than I prefer. Today, the course was wet and the greens were slick. The fairways are what you expect, lush, green and always giving you that perfect lie. I like the zoysia which is different from my course and the others.

It's clear the course is improving each month as the maintenance guys are always out working. It's nice to see... Looking forward to playing again soon on my next day off. Well worth the money. Good job guys, keep up the good work!

good layout but the course is in dire need of maintenence, The bridges crossing the river are scarey.

The course has some amazing views. Enjoyed the course. Don't love their policy on tee times. I had to pay for our foursome and my buddy cut his hand the day before so we only had 3 come to play. They made me pay for his tee time as well. seemed unreasonable. That messed up my flow for the day for sure.

The course layout is phenomenal. Despite lots of recent rain and the fact that the river was high, the course was in great shape. Definitely some challenging holes incorporating the river, but that’s what makes it memorable! Highly recommended.

With every passing month Island Point is getting better. One of the best and most scenic layouts in the area. The group that now runs the course has made it better. The fare ways and greens are better maintained and the bunkers actually have sand in them. The pace of play was very poor on my most recent round but it was worth the hassle. Give it a try. We

This is a zoysia fairway and greens course that gives you great lies in the fairways and consistent greens. The layout is fun and winds around creeks and rivers through beautiful lands. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I make sure I play this course every time I come to Knoxville.

Played 5 rounds from 5-16-22 through 5-19-22. Walking not allowed. Zoysia fairways, mini-verde bermuda greens. Been playing golf for 58 years and these are probably the best greens I can remember - public or private. Fairways were super. If you can't hit your tee shot approx. 100 yards, high rough awaits you. If you spray shots too far in either direction, high grass is there, but it's fair. Significant progress over the last year. Some parts of the cart paths need repairs, but the course is A+. Friendly employees, too.

Went here Saturday morning for the first time ever. Booked a tee time for just myself. Showed up half an hour early asked to buy range balls and was told I didn’t show up early enough to hit them. Went to go get my cart from the starter found out I was riding with someone. Am I the only one that’s not heard of them making you ride with someone with you book a single? Every golf course I’ve ever played by myself I’ve always gotten my own cart. So I tell the starter that’s weird I’ve never heard of that anywhere I’ve been and he tells me well you must have never played golf. Off to a great start to the round. Get told on the turn there’s a food truck that opens at 10. Get to the turn at 1045 food truck isn’t ready yet can’t sell us anything. Loved the course it’s stunning and in great shape but staff treats customers horrible.

Course layout is very nice. Thin fairways make accuracy a premium and is reason for 137 course rating. Greens and fairways are in great shape although greens are slow. Would play it again.

Course is in much better shape than it was a couple years ago. New management really has done a great job on the fairways and greens especially.

Do not miss out on the chicken salad the nice lady makes at the turn in the food truck! Absolutely phenomenal!!!

Fairways were great, greens were perfect, scenery was immaculate. Pace of play was horrific. Nice enough to still visit again, but only if I can afford to make a whole day out of it.
