Strawberry Farms Golf Club

They have a great covid-19 policy where you take single carts and most employees wore face masks. Course was in great shape although it was a little wet in certain areas even though we played in the afternoon. The greens ran very smoothly and probably played around a 9 on the stimpmeter. Not overly fast but putts would get away from you if not careful. Tees and traps were in good shape. I recommend playing winter rules in the sand as there can be foot prints as they don't have rakes with the covid precautions. Fairways were in good shape as well. The back nine is very fun with a variety of holes. A great day with a pace of play just around 4 hours.

This course has an interesting layout. The course is in excellent condition. Greens were in very good shape but played a little slow. Fairways were generous but a stray shot generally resulted in a lost ball. Hole # 10 which is entirely along the Strawberry reservoir is breathtaking and any shots left or attempt to cut the dogleg are likely to end up in the water.

The clubhouse was busy but well staffed. A bit unfriendly to non-members but not rude, just felt a little like an unwanted guest. Played with some very nice OC residents (non-members) and will definitely play here again.

After finishing my round I grabbed my putter to practice for a few minutes. I was immediately approached by an attendant named Tony who asked if I had a tee time. I told him I just concluded my round to which he told me I was not allowed to putt. I told him I didn’t get a chance to putt before the round and he snapped back at me in a disrespectful tone that he would “allow” me 10 minutes to putt as that was city regulations. I told him I just played another course in the same city and they didn’t have that rule. He told me In a condescending tone that maybe I should go over there and putt and if I was nicer he would have let me put longer than 10 minutes. Wow, really!? It wasn’t what he said but how he said it. Very unprofessional and completely lacking in customer service skills. After paying $115 for a round of golf and then interacting with this gem. Very disappointed....

A very nice course! I any golfer would appreciate the atmosphere! I certainly will play again when I return! Check it out for yourself!

A challenging course but the fairways and greens were in fairly good condition. The layout and views for the most part were good-average. Only hole 10 was an interesting view and challenge. The only down side is the price,. You pay double the price of a municipal course. Pace was decent at 4 hrs but could have been faster.

Really enjoyed my round here - holes were memorable but fair and really scenic course. Course was in great condition and pace of play was outstanding at 3.5 hours with a foursome. Definitely recommend.

Delayed 20 minutes tee time and ask me switch TEEOFF time for behind group, I said “I can’t because I have to go some where after golf, than started young guy yelled only 5 minutes different, 29 minutes delay tee time than staff ask me to change tee time with next group. Totally I don’t accept he Ask me .

Everything about this golf course was amazing

A hidden gem in the foothills of Irvine. A beautiful golf course with some tough greens. Staff if very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely play here again

Haven't played Strawberry in a long while and it didn't take long to remember how great a course it is. Each hole gets progressively harder as the round unfolds. The staff was awesome, and the conditions were good. A couple of the tee boxes were fairly chewed up and it seemed like most of the patrons don't know how to fix a divot (or at least care to). Though the staff can't do much about that, it would be nice, considering the price, that the greens wouldn't have pot holes all over it.

This course is tight and takes all the shot shaping skills you can muster.Alot of the holes do not need a Driver. 3 Wood will suffice on most of the Par 4 holes. If u are not familiar with this course the greens will take their toll on your score. I love this course,its always been been the equalizer for my friends who are long . Bring some extra balls you will need them.

Well I was playing with a family who obviously did not want me in their group. They asked if I was a member and stated that I am not. I only made 4 holes with them. The group in front of us was playing from the wrong tees. A group of guys who couldn’t hit the ball ore than 200 yards. They would all go to a ball watch each other hit, high five etc , then as a group would go to the next ball and repeat!!!!!! Every shot!!!!

My group which consisted of wife husband and friend. The wife thought I played to fast and refused to okay with me, they demanded I play ahead of them and not in their group !!! So here I am stuck between the slow guys and the group who won’t play with me!!!! Well enough is enough after 4 holes I left, I’ve encountered many issues at Strawberry always hoping the next outing will be good but never is.. so last time ever!

Mother’s Day round - kudos to the staff everything was very clear on what is expected and they now have electronic boards in the carts! Fun round today thank you!

I got to play on a weekday when rain was forecasted. Course was empty so pace of play was good. Just under 4 hours. The conditions are very good but not exceptional. Especially when it’s over 100 bucks to play on a weekday. Overall the course was a lot of fun to play and would love to go back again. My only critique is it’s a little expensive for me haha.
