Solid course but overpriced
course was in solid shape and pace of play was great for southern california. A bit overpriced at $85 prepaid rate, definitely at $110 golfnow rate. For a course built in 1997, ive never seen a more poorly designed cart path. On a lot of holes, you end up having to walk 50+ yards to get to the green from the path, very strange.
The Berry
Got a great deal on Golf Now to play Strawberry for $40. Tees off at 2pm and just got in at sunset. Course is in good shape, a few wet spots, greens are typical for SB. Great track, always a challenge. Shot a 74 with two doubles and an eagle.
good time
overall the course and pace of play were great. the greens were not recovering from footprints but there has been a lot of rain lately and not much you can do.
One thing that was quite disturbing was seeing mowers coming right at you without guards on the blades! I personally know of a golf pro who lost an eye because a rock was shot from a mower with our a blade guard. No excuse for this.
Fun Round with Out of Towners
Played on a perfectly cloudy day with a local and two out of towners. Everyone was very nice as we enjoyed the company. The staff was very friendly and service was top notch. There was a beverage cart as well. I love Strawberry Farms and will be back as soon as I can.
Challenging needs modernization
This golf course has great natural layout, fun to play. However, for the golfers not quite familiar with the course, no gps offered makes yardage guess quite challenging. More so, the signal level is not strong enough for most popular gps equipment. Suggest the Club considering add god on the cart.
Strawberry Farm - good but not great
The course is very challenging if you cannot keep the ball in the fairway. Course conditions are good but not excellent. Greens were in very good shape and very fast.
Great layout for a fun day
Course was a bit drier and had more brown spots than usual but greens and tee boxes were good. Greens still showed some signs of the last punching but overall rolled well. Always a fun layout and plenty of risk reward shots to execute. Highly recommend and the restaurant has good food also.
Disappointment
Not sure what the hype and price point are about.
Only fair condition and nothing special.
Great Course. A Lot of Fun to Play.....
Strawberry Farms is a very nice, very challenging course. When we played on 21 Oct it was in great shape and we got around in a little over four hours. All of the staff, the guy at the bag drop, the people in the pro shop & the beverage cart lady were all very friendly. In my opinion it’s worth playing and I would certainly recommend playing it.
You get what you pay for
Amazing. Happy to see a high quality course like this available on Golfnow, was even happier playing it.
Underwhelmed
Usually fun golf course. Greens were in bad shape.
Wasn’t worth the money. Rather frustrating
Excellent Day Slightly Tainted by Slow Play
Had a fantastic day out at Strawberry Farms today. Grabbed the $85 hot deal which is the way to go. Better than paying the $125+ to play here. In saying that, this course is one of my favourites in the Area. Customer service was brilliant. Cart ladies were excellent. We had a slow group in front right from the opening tee shot. Was getting quite frustrated but the Marshall was right onto it and got play moving for us.
Greens were the best I’ve probably ever played. Ran so smooth but had moisture in them so you could stick your approach shots and check them up with spin. Fairways were really lush and balls sat up like carpet.
Will definitely keep coming back for the discounted rates. October is definitely the best time of the year to play here
This course is beautiful and fun
We had a great time playing this beautiful course.
All of the employees are great. I definitely recommend Strawberry Farms.
Great Course Bad Staff
Showed up for their back 9 and breakfast deal 30 minutes after sunrise and they said that I was too late. They said that regular tee times were already on the back nine which is hard to believe. Let's just say they are no longer getting my business if they continue these shenanigans.
Decent Track- but overpriced
Decent enough layout and staff is friendly- played in 4 hours- on a Tuesday morning.
It’s just an average golf course though, and definitely overpriced compared to what else is out there. No GPS on the carts, which I get, I have a range finder, but at least give you a course layout on the scorecard, the course has enough blind shots and risk reward tee shots - that they should give a golfer new to the course there an idea of how the hole should be played. There’s just better courses for the money in the area.
