If it weren't for the short cropped southern California fairways I'd give it a 5 star rating all around. But there is so little height to the grass in the fairways that you're hitting off real tight lies all the time. Beyond that, the greens are great. Layout is fun and challenging, but fair. The surrounding hills and lack of housing developments is great. Being in OC it is not cheap.

Purse was nice, picturesque and fun to play. Seriously, the only negative I have for the day was that we didn’t see a beverage cart until the 12th hole and we teed off at 11:10. Very disappointing as we were looking for beers and snacks. Course was packed and they only had one cart running. They lost money on that decision.

Played blue tees, 3200+ on front 9 Back 9 tight with sloping fairways. Blind shots which need course knowledge.

Well I haven't played Strawberry in almost a year. After the last round I didn't think we would return. Last may almost 6 hour round and the course was pretty beat up. The layout is good, challenging mostly fair..except18, it like they forgot golf was 18 holes and after 17 they remembered oh crap we still need one more! Terrible hole Mr. Designer, . Anyway, this round was a beautiful day, course was in great condition, greens were very quick, hard to read, pace of play 4:15, all in all a nice day. The manager offered me a free round BTW after the 6?hour round but I lost his name and email and never took him up on it... Lol bring plenty of pellets, certain holes are very unforgiving ill let you figure out which ones.. :)

The front nine are relatively close to a busy road and with some wind the traffic could be heard quite well.

However, the back nine are in a beautiful setting with nice views into the hills around and very well layed out around a lake with a small dam.

The fairways were ok. for the time of the year but the greens were in very good condition and nice to putt on.

After the round we had very friendly service at the club house restaurant and very good food.

All in all a place to come back as the course is challenging from the back tees but fair!

Difficult conditions to assess the course due to amount of recent rainfall. That said, course is okay but overpriced for amenities. No GPS, no ballwashers - just basic course which would be okay if not priced so high.

Very friendly in pro shop and terrific server and food in restaurant.

It was nice challenge for the average golfer without being intimating.

Played in under 4 hours and the course conditions were better than usual. Haven't played much at Strawberry due to the recent lack of care to the course and the always slow pace of play but today the course was in great shape and the pace of play was wonderful. Playing in under 4 hours in Orange County is just great.....

Heard great things about this course when it opened.

Course Layout - OK, nothing outstanding

Course conditions - poor for the money.

The regular green fees are over $100, I do not understand why anyone would pay that much to play this course. I paid just over $50 (included the cart), I thought I was getting a good price! I paid too much. The price or true value should be between $35 - $50. Tee boxes are OK, fairways need work, greens ok at best, some are bumpy/poor conditions. Rough or other than fairways are poor.

I wish that the Marshall was more pleasant. He would not even smile or say hello.

Lots of character and some beautiful holes. My wife enjoyed the long 6 par on the back. Greens were a little fluffy but they had recently been punched. It’s a great course that I will try to play whenever I am in the area

The course was wonderfully kept with great staff and the “Hot Deal” is by far the best value for such a great track. Loved it. I will play again soon.

This is by far the worst value play for your money year round. No matter what time of year or day its not worth the price of admission. I've played it six times in the past two years and regretted it every time. Six hour rounds are the norm, even in the middle of the week. Conditions are never on par with the other courses in OC. The layout is a joke, its like video game golf on some holes. No GPS on carts.......Just a bad experience overall. Slash the price by 75% and maybe its worth your time.
