Cimarron's Boulder course is desert in location, but almost links in feel. It's hard to imagine even the most beer-cart-fueled hacker thinking they're in Scotland. Considering the bright sun, the striking San Jacinto Mountains and all. But …
"We've had many golfers tell us it reminds them of the British Open," head pro Jason Janke said. "For what we have in the desert, this is probably the closest course to that."
At 6,782 yards from the back tees, Cimarron challenges with length and accuracy. It's wise to keep your ball in the fairway here or you'll get some up-close desert views. Still with three par 4s over 450 yards and two par 5s over 560 yards, bombing away with your driver is anything but completely ignored.

I would play it again
I would play it again..says it all. There are a few hiccups that were caused by Hurricane Hilary.. such as not playing out of the wash & many small rocks in many bunkers.

Fast & firm greens
Course was well maintained. Unfortunately Hurricane Hilary caused some damage to the wash areas but not to the fairways. The bunkers were ok..but still needed minor rocks to be removed. The staff were very friendly & knowledgeable.
We will play it again.

Starter/pace awful, course great
When there is a tournament in the morning, you cannot have teetimes every eight minutes after the tournament. They were fivesomes In the tournament and they were playing at a slow pace, so the first public teetimes of the day were backed up

coming from canada, this is a go to course of mine, however, the green fee has increased a lot, i do realize the course got flooded in august and had to quickly rebuild, which was amazing to see and play, but the cost went up at least $50 usd.

Nice day for golf
After playing recently on a real windy day it was great to play on a calm day. Course conditions were excellent but pace of play slow. It took 4.5 hours to play but only 4 hours on the windy day.

Great but windy!
Course condition and service was excellent. Only problem was playing in high winds there were a few dust storms from the wash. The high winds made it more challenging but I booked another round to try to play on a calmer day.

Racist Starter Ruined the Day
The white old starter with a bad attitude wants to call out my Asian family because my wife hit an extra breakfast ball on the first tee to “get moving”. However, course was backed up all day and we still finished in 3:45 minutes with the group behind us at least a hole behind. Definitely won’t be returning with that out of touch old geezer trying to feel important. Racist scum didn’t say anything to the white hackers behind us. If you are white enjoy your privilege. My Asian friends, stay away.

This course is challenging but not impossible. The fairways and greens are in excellent shape. My only extreme criticism is that there are no restroom facilities on the course with the exception of gross porta potties. For the price of this course, and how nice it is otherwise, it really needs one decent restroom out on the course. You do not have time to go back to the clubhouse after 9 holes, you will definitely delay play.

Demanding layout.
The course appears to be getting better after the rain storms earlier. Even after just recently opening up for the fall, too many ball marks in the greens that were not fixed, but that’s golf. When it’s windy, the course is more demanding than ever. Speed of greens were great and fairways are thin in some spots. All around, an enjoyable day.

Nice track
Had a nice round Saturday 11/18- course in good shape despite all the sand in the wash areas from the storms- greens pretty nice , but not super fast ( peeps should fix their ball marks) …. All the staff were extra nice and friendly as well - Would definitely play here again! Total of 4.5 stars for me
