The Boulder Course at Cimarron Golf Resort is renowned for its outstanding course conditions and breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountains. With multiple tees and yardages available, the Boulder Course presents a challenging yet accommodating layout for players. From the Cimarron Tees, the course measures 6,747 yards, featuring a course rating of 72.0 and a slope of 124. Alongside the Championship Boulder Course, Cimarron Golf Resort also provides an executive par 55, called the Pebble Course, as well as excellent practice amenities that include a grass driving range, a short game area, and a putting green. Regardless of the season, Cimarron Golf Resort is a destination that should not be missed while in Palm Springs.

Enjoyed the course
It was a a lot of fun to play. Nothing too tricky; what you see is what you get. None of the holes particularly stand out when remembering after the round, but they were all fun. We had seven of us traveling from all around the US and we all had a great time. Shot scores from 78 to 88.
Course was scruffy, hard to distinguish rough from fairway, guessing it received some damage from tropical storm.

A nice course with fabulous views
Played from the white (Middle) tees and did not find the course overly challenging, given the perfect weather conditions. A few of the fairways are a bit narrow, requiring accuracy off the tee. Greens were relatively fast but a bit choppy with a lot of ball marks. I fixed several on each green. There are some unique local rules that were not explained by the starter, but luckily my playing partners had played there before. Specifically, balls that end up in the wash were treated as a free drop. We also played certain landscaped areas as a free drop. Not sure if this was correct, but it was a casual round. Did not see any white stakes. Full driving range, and there is an 18-hole short course, so you have options.

'Palm Spring 2024
Once again Cimarron was a treat to play. Greens, fairways and tee boxes in excellent shape. Staff and services were great. Looking forward to next year.

You would think if you pay over $100 in Green fees there would have bathrooms other than Porta potties on the course

Fun to play a par 3 with an audience!
Strange property with really well kept golf course running along side waste areas. Course will keep you focused and engaged. Greens were wonderful.
Staff could wake up with more of a smile.

Always a great experience.
Always hit Cimarron when we come down. The layout Is nothing special, but the conditions are always very good. The staff are fantastic and very accommodating. As a tourist coming down in the winter, value for money is really very subjective. Non-residents get screwed financially but whatevs ... I think the value is pretty good here, comparative to others.

Need to get more carts please. We arrived an hour early and did not get our until after our tee time. Could not hit practice balls we purchased before the round because carts were not available to go to driving range.

Don't bother
I've played courses all over the Coachella Valley and I have to say there are many other courses with a better experience for the money. The course is ugly, wide open and not a tree to block the wind. Then the pace of play was dismal, I mean crawling. The course was clearly over booked and there was not a marshal in sight to move things along. So, if you want to sit in the wind, watching beginner golfers muddle around a golf course then this is your place. Otherwise look around.

Course is in poor condition for the money
There is a lot of unrepaired flood damage to the course, and the greens were way more bumpy than any other course I have played close to this price point. Remarkable mountain views but the 10 Freeway is also really close on one side of the course so that is not really a plus -- someone in a work truck screamed out the window at one of my playing partners to mess up their backswing with the vehicle going on 10 West at 75 mph. Also, the vibe from many of the staff was low key passive-aggressive rather than friendly. Best to avoid considering so many other options in the area. Will never go back.

I’ve been to Palm Springs 7 or 8 times over the past 8 years never played Cimarron before my loss l got a hot deal on golf now so I decided to cimarron was very pleasantly surprised course was in good shape greens rolled good I in joyed this course
