Cimarron's Boulder course is desert in location, but almost links in feel. It's hard to imagine even the most beer-cart-fueled hacker thinking they're in Scotland. Considering the bright sun, the striking San Jacinto Mountains and all. But …
"We've had many golfers tell us it reminds them of the British Open," head pro Jason Janke said. "For what we have in the desert, this is probably the closest course to that."
At 6,782 yards from the back tees, Cimarron challenges with length and accuracy. It's wise to keep your ball in the fairway here or you'll get some up-close desert views. Still with three par 4s over 450 yards and two par 5s over 560 yards, bombing away with your driver is anything but completely ignored.

Recovering slowly
Cimerron is A favorite however, the course is taking a beating since the hurricane, and although it’s remarkable how far it’s come back, it is not all the way back the greens are very slow, and the fairways are in rough shape

Just opened from reseeding and excellent shape!
Great staff, cart person came along regularly and course was in amazingly great shape! Perfect greens and fairways!

Staff bordered on rude. No one to check you in or help with a cart. Started 15 minutes late and waited every hole. At one point there were four groups waiting to tee off on the back nine. No marshal on the course to help pick up the pace of play. Tee time before 2 pm and finished in the dark. Flags were pulled on the last two holes before we got there.
After being closed for a month due to overseeing I would have expected the course to be in better shape. Bare spots on the fairways and greens. Sand caked on the cart paths. GPS in the cart wasn’t working and we needed to go back to the barn to switch carts.
I won’t be playing here again.

A Little Rough
We were there for Cimarron Golf Club’s first day up & running since Tropical Storm Hillary hit. The course is a little rough but everyone was happy & friendly. We had a great day!

I've been playing at Cimarron since 2008 and I've never had a bad time. The course and practice range are always in good shape and the pro-shop, staff and restaurant are all fantastic.
Great staff, great course.
We were scheduled for 2 rounds a week apart. Played the first round just before Hilary, second round cancelled do to Hilary. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I really enjoy playing here.

Fantastic and beautiful course
My first time here and I will definitely be back.
The scenery from the minute you arrive till the time you leave is gorgeous! The course is laid out beautifully. There are several challenges and I love that about courses. I don't like simple courses.
The greens were almost perfect, the fairways were awesome!
This is a fantastic course.
Too bad it was so freaking windy for the 8 days that I was here.

Disappointment
I went there and was told the course had been closed due to irrigation damage from Hurricane Hilary. The guy at the pro shop cancelled my reservation.
No mention if anything like that on my reservation confirmation.

Great course, great experience
Played the Pebbles course with my wife and had the course all to our self. We saw one other golfer all day and he was 10 holes ahead of us. Course was in great shape for the middle of summer. The carts our brand new and have a ice chest full of ice. The layout is great and I highly recommend it.

Off Season
The course was nice and I enjoyed the layout. The amenities are hard to rate because it looked like some things were closed for the off season.

Ok for $$
Kinda of a boring front 9. Seemed like I was playing the same holes on most of the front 9. Back 9 does get better! Can’t complain for $29.

EXCELLENT COURSE
I would recommend CIMARRON to any person; the course has some narrow fairways and greens on hills - golfers that don't hit straight shots the majority of the time would probably consider this course VERY difficult!
