Cimarron's Boulder course is desert in location, but almost links in feel. It's hard to imagine even the most beer-cart-fueled hacker thinking they're in Scotland. Considering the bright sun, the striking San Jacinto Mountains and all. But …
"We've had many golfers tell us it reminds them of the British Open," head pro Jason Janke said. "For what we have in the desert, this is probably the closest course to that."
At 6,782 yards from the back tees, Cimarron challenges with length and accuracy. It's wise to keep your ball in the fairway here or you'll get some up-close desert views. Still with three par 4s over 450 yards and two par 5s over 560 yards, bombing away with your driver is anything but completely ignored.

Good course- a bit more TLC could move it better
Pro shop, starters, great. Saw the food cart once. No water on whole course. Bathrooms locked. Those little things actually matter. Course was in great shape!
Loved Cimmeron Boulder Course
This course was pleasure to play. Wonderful layout, pristine condition and fantastic views. Staff was helpful and pace of play was on point - finished 18 in just over 3 hours.
Easy to navigate with user friendly signs and markers. Fairways were trim and tidy and greens were fast.

Hot Round on a Hot Deal!
Just passing through on my way from Phoenix AZ to Camarillo, CA.
Never played here before and happened to be here for the hottest day of the year so far!
Long story short I've played over 100 courses in the Phoenix area and this course was in better shape than any of them!
Every part of the course was in great shape, the bunkers had some small rocks in them but that's to be expected out here where the wind blows at high rates of speed.
I was only in one and my shot lipped out so I can't complain.
Played as a single in just over 2 hours which is just what you want when it's 105 degrees out!
This was the best course conditions I have played in for several years.
Played the Boulder course and enjoyed every minute of it!

A course for everyone
The course is in great condition tee thru green. but like most valley courses the sand traps are a bit firm. 4somes in front and behind and we finished just under 4 hours. Great selection of tee boxes. Wide landing zones narrowing as you approach the protected greens. Greens rolled very nicely. Staff was exceptional, bonus points to Vincent in the bar/restaurant. He could teach customer service skills to the PGA west staff(s)

Great layout in great condition
This is an overlooked gem in the desert. A great layout on a flat piece of land. Excellent conditions tee to green with the exceptions of the sand traps. The sand traps here are better than most, but still thin and hard. Note: bring plenty of water as most of the dispensers were missing. The cart lady did give us free water though.

Got behind a 5 some after 3 holes. Told the Marshall, actually 2 different ones but they still didn't break them up. Resulted in a longer round

Beautiful Course
Beautiful chorus with well maintained fairways. Great greens and overall grade facility.. only exception is the Sand Traps. Hard sand. The key is to stay out of the traps.

First Time
Spending the month of April in the Palm Springs area. We played Cimarron for the first time and got it for GN Hot Deal…. Its good value for $75.00 - $100.00 but I’m not sure Id play it for more…. We played in 3 1/2 hours so no issue there…. Greens & fairways were ok for the money we paid but I’d expect way better conditions for $150.00.

Great Views
Decent course with great views of the mountains. Layout was ordinary but course was in good condition. Reasonable value for money. Would definitely play again.

Enjoyed the course
We enjoyed playing the course even though the temperature reached 100 degrees. The course was in good condition and the staff was friendly. Lack of on- course restrooms was disappointing and there wasn’t a beverage cart operating during our round.
