Cimarron's Boulder course is desert in location, but almost links in feel. It's hard to imagine even the most beer-cart-fueled hacker thinking they're in Scotland. Considering the bright sun, the striking San Jacinto Mountains and all. But …
"We've had many golfers tell us it reminds them of the British Open," head pro Jason Janke said. "For what we have in the desert, this is probably the closest course to that."
At 6,782 yards from the back tees, Cimarron challenges with length and accuracy. It's wise to keep your ball in the fairway here or you'll get some up-close desert views. Still with three par 4s over 450 yards and two par 5s over 560 yards, bombing away with your driver is anything but completely ignored.

Way Overbooked
Played this course many times. It was so overbooked that we started 20 minutes late. There were two groups ahead of us that were at least 2 holes behind by the 7 th hole. When we phoned to get the Marshall, we were told that he had gone home. Inexcusable. Like the course otherwise. Just too greedy by overbooking. Short term thinking. I will think twice before booking here again.

Overbooked, had to wait a half hour
for a cart! It seems they book tees 8 mins apart which backs everything up.
Par 3 have 3 foursomes in the tee!!

Cart shortage
We were so disappointed ☹️
There were 50 players stacked up waiting for carts.
45 -60 min delayed start. We couldn’t finish because the sunset on the 16th hole. Staff was working hard but bottom line is they over book tee times and don’t have enough carts from 10am to 2pm daily! Never will go again. No bathrooms on the course and you don’t go past the clubhouse at the turn. I wish the starter told us there were only Port a potties on two holes ONLY.
I’m so bummed we spent $80 PP for such a pitiful experience. There was a dirt bike on the course terrorizing golfers for 4 hours before law enforcement was contacted. It was weird.

Beautiful Fairways
Overall we are satified with the golf course. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially the starter Jeff. One suggestion is about the portable toilets, I feel very uncomfortable to use it.

Good Course
Beautiful views of the Mountains. Greens rolled nicely, fairways were good, but there was room for improvement. A very exposed course if the wind is up.

Tough in the wind but the traps are mostly unplayable due to many rocks and pebbles in every trap.

No carts - 40 minute delay - 4 1/2 hour round
There were no carts available until the tee time. Tee time was 40 minutes late on a day with good weather (why). and the round was 4 1/2 hours to play. I believe that the tee times need to be spread out.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Very slow, very transactional
Turned greenside sprinklers on with plenty of daylight left roughly 40 min before dark. Would not recommend, would not come back

No Carts = Slow Play
I arrived at the course 20 minutes prior to my tee time and was told by the cart attendant that there were no carts available and that it would be 25 to 30 minute delay in my tee time. There were at least 30 people waiting for carts. My expectation was that with a 1:35 tee time that I had a good chance of getting in 18 holes before dark. I left after it took almost 3 hours to play 9 holes. Very poor management.

Good value for the money.
Overall a pretty good experience. Greens I'm good shape. A little slow but in good condition. Clubhouse staff good and starter was excellent. Bag drop staff is a waste of time. Move your clubs three steps from cart to drop and vice versa but no cleaning but look for tips. Didn't eat but views of the course and mountains pretty nice. Overall a good value for the price and probably a good course to open with on a golf trip.

Cimarron - value golf
Course was packed which slowed the pace to 4:30 for the round. Other than that, we had a nice time. The track is okay, everything's right in front of you, no blind shots, very few trees, a large wash that always seems to be in play (avoid that if you can). Was one of the lower priced rounds of our trip but it was worth playing.
