Cimarron Golf Club - Boulder Course

Got a great rate on line, loved the corse, great pace of play. Would play again.

Pace of play was initially slow due to a tournament in front of us. But it did even out eventually.

Port-a-potties were a disappointment given the nice clubhouse

Would have been helpful to know it is not possible to go into the clubhouse at the turn. As a result a more frequently rotating beverage cart would have been welcome, especially on a weekend.

The course was great. We golfed with a man that was very quiet and not too friendly. Very rare in Palm Springs but otherwise a good day of golf. Will be back.

Front end and proshop good, restaurant slow for golfcourse. Starter excellent, course was fun, came back next day for clothing purchase.

The staff was helpful and friendly. This is a busy place and they manage reservations thru the computer thus everyone has the big picture. Range used grass tee and balls were good. Their pricing is excellent. They offer many packages which you should look into. if you are here for a week ($349) or a “players club” which is $99, the first round is free and all subsequent round are $69 or less depending on the time of day.

As for the course, it’s not The Masters, the fairways are not shaves and the rough is not penalizing. The bunkers are well placed along the fairways but there are very few around the greens. The bunkers need a little TLC. The greens are the best part of the course. They are smooth and fast. All in all, it is a fun walk in the park at a very reasonable price.

I played on Sunday at 10AM and we were done in under 4 hours.

With green fees on the rise, it was good to see Cimarron continues to be well maintained - fairways, rough, bunkers, and greens were consistent through 18 holes.

Perfect experience from making a reservation to arriving, eating lunch, playing golf and departing.

We had never played this course but it was good. Course was in excellent shape. 4 hour round of golf. Course is relatively straight but was really enjoyable. Great value. Clubhouse food and service was very good. We will definitely play it again.

Boulder Course as with the rest of the course has almost zero trees. But lots & lots

of bushes that'll rob you of your golf balls. Then you will find all kinds of balls

while looking for your ball in the wash lol.

Every time you find some kind of groove. It all comes to grinding halt from the

slow play. The day I went there was a long, long wait to get a golfcart.

Pebble Course is a challenging par 3 lay-out very similar to the Boulder Course.

Haven't had the same logjam of players on the par 3 whenever I've gone.

We have been coming to Palm Desert for over 25 years each winter, and love it here and have never had such a horrible experience. The course condition and layout is decent ,other than many holes you have to park far away from greens which slows play. Not having proper bathrooms, and only porta potties for the price is unacceptable and no water when it is 90 degree weather and using Covid as an excuse, is terrible. Every other course provides water. The worst part is there is no Marshall and we had a group of drunk guys in front of us, who took 25 minutes to finish a par 3 causing an exceptional backup. When my husband called clubhouse , about situation they said they would send someone out which they did not. We quit, because of this group holding us up, and being drunk carrying they’re beer cans onto green. I went into the pro shop and complained to the fellow working and he had no answers other than to say they have no staff. I did say if those guys get behind the wheel of a car and caused an accident because of being sold too much alcohol, they would be responsible, and he refused that theory. Very disappointed. Only golf there if you are desperate.
