Good but not Tough

Course is straight forward, not real challenging but was great for us as a first round for our trip here since we had not played for a month. We played in under 4 hours but only because we went from hole 11 to hole 3. There was a junior tournament going on and we caught up to the tail end of that on hole 9. The starter told us that crossing over would be much faster and he was right. Would play here again but only as a warm up course. Playing the Resort course later this week which is more challenging. Restaurant and patio nice for drinks or a quick bite

Great course

Got a primo tee time on here- just a twosome, didn’t pair us up. Played in less than 4 hours. Course in nice shape, only one hole with water so very playable for all levels. Greens very slow, maybe they’re always like this? Beautiful views, would play again.

Great Morning in the Desert

We played the Legends course to save some money from the resort course. I expected narrower fairways and more of a heavily trafficked course but we were wrong. Very beautiful and it was in excellent condition. Only very minor input… the very slow greens were hard to get use to and the driving range could use a little more grass in the tee boxes.

Course for everyone

This course is very playable for all abilities. Overseeding has been done and fairways are still growing in. Tight and sparse in some places. Greens have been over seeded also and were very hairy and slow! Extremely slow but they do roll true. For the price I would play here again. Good layout.

Overall, nice course

Staff were terrific! Layout is pretty flat. Greens were tough to judge speed, but rolled smoothly. Would have rated it higher but the bunkers are abysmal. No sand. Packed dirt? Ridiculous. For the price we were charged, not a good value.

Old School Palm Spring Style Track

Played in mid October. Was one of the first groups off, so pace was a non issue.

Course conditions were okay, it's overseeding season so it was expected.

Biggest complaint was that the rough was very inconsistent, so you get all kinds of not great lies if you miss the fairway. Bermuda rough was patchy at times.

Good track, a little pricey for what you get but it's just about high season. Conveyor belt layout (many holes side by side), so not the prettiest of courses, but does the job.

Lots of grass clippings on the ground that they are leaving as mulch, so can get wet and stick to the bottom of your shoes during the early tee times.

Average

It's been hot in Palm Springs/Palm Desert over the summer and the course showed signs of challenges keeping the course hydrated. Practice green was a dried out goat track, as was one or two other greens. Most holes were in decent enough condition. Bunkers were more dirt than sand on multiple holes - needed raking or maybe just needed sand - I could not tell which would solve the issue - they were just hard and/or crusty dirt (I spent a number of holes in them, so I can tell you this from first hand experience). We've played this course in previous years - it is decent/average, nothing outstanding or highlight reel in terms of layout, design or views. So, for the money the course is average as well. I would golf here again, however only with a discounted round, not full price. Course staff are super friendly and nice. No water on course - get the discounted 4 water bottles for a dollar each.
