The course is nice and open, good size fairways
It was quite hot on Thursday; but lots of water and I had a fun round.
Experienced players only
Tahquitz has long reliable par threes, fours, and fives. To score below 100, you must be able to get off the tees 200+ yards consistently or it will take too many shots, and too much walking, to complete a summer round in a timely manner compounding the heat issue in summer. Not for beginners, or players that can't hit a drive 200 yards.
No water
The course plays like a city course. Odd layout over a wash. No water on the course to drink. Bring your own.
Ok course
The course was in ok shape - a little spendy for this time of the year - staff not the most helpful - pace ended up ok - there was a five some in front of us and we waited on every hole. Little browned out in areas
Good ol TahquitZ
Great round after noon nobody in my way or behind. Staff was chill and quick to get on and off.
Disappointed
we played the legend course at Tahquitz. I wish we could have played the resort, but we did not know it was open. The legend Kors had rough that was really high and rough in the middle of the fairway. The putting greens had really bad burned out dirt spots. The young man at the front desk where we checked it was super nice. But the starter was sarcastic and had poor people skills. He directed us to a cart, and then we got in it and realized it had no key .When we asked for key to our golf cart, he told us to **hold our horses**. That was rude and bad customer service. We like the ledge in Course, but it was in bad shape, and we can’t understand why there were overgrown weeds in the middle of the fairways. We would recommend going to the Resort corset Tahquitz instead, because we have heard good things about it. It was just our luck to not know that it was open the day of our play.
Disappointed
Course greens had burned out dirt spots; rough was overgrown not trimmed to a decent condition. Worst of all was rough in the fairways. Why isn’t anyone mowing? The rough was overgrown and thick that we couldn’t find our balls. We can understand that in the middle of summer the greens will be less than stellar - once on the green i elected to move my ball rather than putt through dirt and very rough bare spots. The check in desk guy had wonderful manners; but when we went outside to get our cart, and there was no key, the starter actually told us TO HOLD OUR HORSES. I couldn’t believe the rudeness. No wonder no one was on the course except us and a threesome behind us whom we never saw again. Good thing is we went out as a twosome and sailed around the course in late July in 3 hours. I didn’t find out til later that their nicer course The Resort was open , was in better condition and only cost $5 more to play than what we paid. If you go, play the Resort section NOT the Legend.
Not for me.
Staff was super helpful, driving range and putting green were decent.
Course conditions were not so great. Tee boxes were chewed up, greens had a ton of dead spots. Bunkers were a joke.
Bring your bug spray!!! Bugs flying around everywhere!!!
Not recommended if your in the area visiting.
Punched & dry
Tahquitz is notorious for foot prints in the bunkers. I think that the golfer is here we’re not type the correct etiquette of the Golf procedures raking a bunker is one of them and I don’t believe the staff cares either a fun course but it needs to be watered badly!!!
Good fun,
I like this this course, the golfers act like they are 12, not filling divots , not raking bunkers, they need there mothers to ride with them! 🍼
