Course is a mess right now...

After playing the Resort course we thought that we could try the Legend course as the Resort course was fun. No comparison...the Legend course is a old-style muni design that was basically beat the ball back and forth along the fairway. The recent rain and damage to Tahquitz Creek is evident here, especially on Nos. 1, 9, and 18 as the creek has washed away the bridges and fairways on these holes. Sorry...shouldn't have charged $50/round...was maybe worth half that...

Easier Course, but nothing fancy

The highlight for me was getting to see some of the original palm springs architecture in the homes around the course ….. not the pristine highly groomed courses that you find in Palm Desert much more of a neighborhood public course feel which is fine but don’t expect it to be some thing it’s not.

Chaos

We arrived an hour before our 1:10 Tee time and they were out of carts. We were told to check back with player services around 10-15 minutes prior to our start time and they would load us up on a cart. Nobody told us that they were running an hour behind. We just wanted an estimated start time but not a single employee on property seemed to know. The golf shop, player services, starters, and course hosts showed no interest in helping anyone. Guests were arguing over available carts because nobody knew who was teeing off next. Play anywhere in Palm Springs but there. It was a miserable experience that was made even worse by the entire staff.

Chaos

We arrived an hour prior to our start time and they had no carts available. We were told to check back about 10-15 before our tee time and a cart would be issued to us. They never told us that they were running an hour behind. The player service staff, starters, pro shop and course host refused to give an estimate as to when we would actually start. Customers were fighting over available carts and the staff did nothing. The course was average and definitely not worth any of your money. Don’t play there!.

Tough to play at 101 degrees

Beautiful course. Even had its own river flow thru the middle of the course. First time in many years in May.

Negatives - homeless people living next to the course. No water provided on the course. Tough to play when you run out of water half way through

Always a joy

I really love this course. I come and play it every year. And it was nice to see water in the water way. Nice little extra bit of hazard.

Have played this course dozens of times. Never the nicest course but always fun. Recently the staff and experience has made it unplayable. My last round there was one of the worst golf experiences I have ever had. We showed up 30 minutes early for our tee time and we’re told they were short golf carts so we were going to be delayed. After being delayed an hour we complained and were given a ten dollar credit for the delay. We ended up teeing off 90 minutes after our tee time. When we made the turn for the back 9 we were told the credit they gave us meant we couldn’t play the back. After arguing for 20 minutes we gave up and left. It’s super sad this is what the experience is now. It used to be such a fun round, but now I wouldn’t recommend in any situation.

Rip off and unfriendly staff

Staff is unfriendly and all on a power trip. We paid for 18 holes, we’re given a $10 discount because they didn’t have enough carts so we teed off an hour late, and then they wouldn’t let us play the back nine (even though the course was not crowded and we had a recipt that showed we paid for 18 holes).

Generally a good course but very crowded, and do not expect great customer service.

Dog water

A glorified muni without the extras of a muni. The starters are grumpy pieces of feces but their fat... So they have that going for them. An Arnold Palmer ran facility, well Arnold would excrement his pants on how janky the driving range looks. The course is ok, bunkers could use some TLC but overall in ok shape. The water from the mountain snow melt running through the fairways into the creek is neat, not normal but kind of cool. It's a $30 top course, but they thinks it's worth more. Play a hot deal only for this place and keep it cheap, so you don't feel ripped off.

It's an ok course. I played it for $0.48 and feel if it were more than $15.00 I would've felt ripped off.

We are Tahquitz fans

Not a high end country club...but a cool public course... a good mix of visitors and locals. Outside staff treats us like old friends. We are fans...will be back.

Easy Play

Course was in good condition and they did the best they could with the snow melt run off. Pace of play was great on the traditional course, but no snack cart available the entire time with no water on the course. Not a lot of challenge with the course layout, but made for a low scoring round at a reasonable rate.
