What you see is what you get
If your expectations are low then you will be fine, the range balls are outdated , the backshop guys are about as classy as the golf balls ….its probably a better course for beginners , the locals that we played with apparently paid around 40$ and we paid the full GN absurde price of 110$ per player so that is ridiculously overpriced….The price for golf right now is ridiculous and will deserve a market adjustment at some point!
No value here
Terrible conditions at this course. Driving range is in horrible shape.
Had a rain check after 9 holes with the promise of a cell call from the manager - week later still waiting for any kind of correspondence.
Do not go here - not worth the money , broken promise , bad shape. Very dissatisfied.
Great course, time of year didn’t help
Always enjoy this course but it was due for closing in a week to so which meant bare, brown fairways and greens that weren’t up to standard in some places. Overall a good round but it would’ve been great to be forewarned as we headed out. That said, price was fairly reflective and staff were superb. I’ll be back for sure
Tahquitz-Legends Course
The course was busy but pace of play held-up pretty well. Although it finally was bogged down on the last 4-5 holes. The greens were in good shape and fast. Teeing off #1 & #10 can be dangerous as you’re hitting over an embankment & there is no way of knowing if there are players ahead. The management should look into camera technology that could help.
Blah, blah, blah
Played the Legend course as the resort course was closed and it was very boring. Every hole was straight-away, no doglegs, and it was very flat. Conditions were sub-par. Pace of play was bad as we (twosome) waited on every shot of the twosome in front of us. They couldn't keep pace with the foursome in front of them and one of those guys was walking. I would not waste my time and money on this course. However, the resort course, from what i saw, was in excellent condition.
Not worth it!
Starting with pro shop staff, the attendant did not have a welcoming personality. However, the starter was very hospitable.
The course layout was very basic, except for a couple of holes which did offer some elevation changes. The course was rough from tee to green. Generally, the only “green “ on the course was in the storm runoff areas.
Don’t waste your time or money!
2nd time (played here 7 years ago)
Course is satisfactory. A few bumpy greens. Bar closed at 2 pm which was before our 9-10 turn. I’d play again, but probably not this trip - maybe next time..
Really fun course!
This course is conveniently located in Palm Springs, near downtown itself. It is a little bit expensive, $150 each, but you get what you pay for. Wide-open fairways nothing too challenging, pace of play was excellent, really enjoyed the course. Looking forward to our next trip to Palm Springs.
Course in poor shape
The course is in terrible shape! Fairways have dirt patches and dead grass. Greens are in bad shape as well. Also, the driving range was one of the worst in recently memory. One positive, the staff was very courteous.
Bad conditions
The staff friendly and good service. The fairways you had to look for grass often. Let’s not talk about the greens.
Love this place!
Have been coming here since 1995. Airmas in pro shop is a great guy. Zack with the golf carts another great guy!
The value is terrific plus the average level of difficulty keeps the score in a fair and reasonable level.
Love the history of the place too. Goes back to 1959.
Glad they survived the “Save PS Golf” thing too!
Will be back with my sons.
