Scenic View of Course Photo submitted by u000005094963 on 02/14/2013
Dissappointed
One hundred degrees outside and absolutely no water on the course. The bathrooms were locked and the greens were very slow (hadn't been mowed). We were told that the cart girl would be around frequently to supply water but we never saw her in 18 holes. Avoid this course!
Golf by the English
Food great
Starter from Pennsylvania a funny man
And half English
Course for a public course good
Homeless living people on the 3rd hole could be better dealt with
Overall we I play again yes
Terrible
The course was dead. Dead grass. Dead
Greens. Should have not charged us. Should
not have been open.
Should be refunded.
Nobody told us that there is no water on the course. All the fairways were burn...terrible conditions.
Not Worth It In My Opinion
Will never play this course again. Don’t believe the pictures. Course is covered in shopping carts and homeless encampments, greens were in terrible condition, fairways weren’t far behind it, and the amenities were lacking to say the least. Bring your own water because there was no 5 gallon buckets along the 18, which doesn’t pass by the club house after the 9th hole and there was no cart person in sight with food and drinks. What sealed the deal for me though, was they staff. To say they were rude and unwelcoming would be a gross understatement. This was not only something I experienced, but it was something I witnessed with every paying customer that showed up to play. Including one customer who walked up to check in and was greeted with, “you need to get out, I’m trying to pull carts through here.” What makes it worse, is this wasn’t just one person. This behavior was seen throughout the cart barn staff. Another guy told a customer, who hadn’t paid yet, “I don’t care about the pro shop or the green fee’s. They just accept money. If you want a cart and you want to play, you need to check in with me.” It was mind blowing to be honest. I would also like to say I play LOTS of courses and book 99% of them through golfnow, and I have never written a review. Just not my style, but my experience at this “top notch resort course” was so bad that I felt it warranted it. You can play two courses at Tukwet for $35 at twilight that have WAY nicer courses, WAY friendlier staff and MUCH better amenities. That same could be said for Yucaipa, oak valley, goose creek, red hawk and the list goes on. If you’re an avid golfer looking for a new place to play, this is NOT it. I will post a pic of a lizard I caught along the way and in the background you’ll see the “fairway” condition. If you play here, be prepared to be disappointed.
Homeless people
They need to do something with these homeless people on the course. First few holes are lined with shopping carts and homeless tents. Sort of an eyesore. Other than that the course was fun and challenging with a tremendous pace. Finished 18 holes in 3 and a half hours
Not a fun day
We feel bad for the homeless and of course they need a place to stay but not In and along a Resort Golf Course. There were grocery carts and garbage strewn along holes first few holes. Not a good experience or impression.
Although the staff was very friendly, this golf course is not worth playing.
Sorry, we have had fun playing there in the past. That's it.
Disappointing golf day
Although the staff at the pro shop in Cart people were very friendly and accommodating the golf course is not worth playing. The first second third fourth and 5th fairways and greens were lined with homeless shelters grocery carts bags plastic bottles cans all kinds of garbage.
The fairways were really rough the greens were very slow just sanded but regardless very poor condition.
I would recommend that golf now takes this course off their list or give it a very low rating. Very disappointing round of golf with my wife
It was my birthday on Monday July 17 and I always try to play here
I love the course, the lay out is Generous wide fairways and large greens , my short game helped me a lot. Usually I play whites but I played Blues with my Boys this time . I did ok💪🏼! 91 short game Baby 👌It was the RESORT
Kind of ghetto
Homeless encampment next to 2nd hole. No water on course. Pedestrians walking. Didn’t like leaving my cart with homeless people and pedestrians walking by it. Too easy to have something stolen. Won’t play here again.
Sad...homeless conditions makes this course terrible
We used to play this course all the time when visiting from Seattle. It was one of our favorites. The conditions were great, price was reasonable, amenities were really nice, water on the course always, beverage carts were out and about...it was always very festive. But now, no more. The city and the course have allowed homeless tents and vagrants everywhere. Unless the city and course get serious about removing this embarrassment to continue, the course will not continue to stay open as people don't feel safe and don't want to see this mess.
Good except the greens
Good experience overall, greens is in summer condition, but still a good experience.
Tough Times.
The legend just got punched. I played the Resort which was punched 3 weeks or so ago. Resort greens are not healed at all. The fairways are getting thin. I got a good deal in GN but it dont matter if your chip bounces 90 degrees left and right or stops. The course is in September condition. I like this course but not right now. Staff is friendly.
