We were looking forward to playing Taquitz because I used to enjoy playing there 20 years ago. I was shocked at how rundown and shabby the facility was. Homeless encampments lined the left side of the first hole. The carts were beat up and filthy. The ladies room had a sign instructing to deposit used toilet paper in the garbage can, rather than flushing it. There were many dead trees on the course that were just dead trunks that had long lost their foliage.

With that said, the course itself is beautiful and could be first class. It seems to be very poorly managed and underfunded.

We booked a late afternoon tee time, then our plans changed and we were free earlier, so I called the course and said they could get us out earlier. We pulled up, talked to the guys in the pro shop and went out to get a cart.

The starter was great! We got loaded and were all set to hit the range, when the he asked us if we wanted to tee off. We have been playing a lot the last month, so we headed to the tee. We were tight behind a twosome and went off!

It’s been a couple years since I played the Resort course. Some fairways are narrow, the greens are small, and there are blind shots with water. It’s a much more fun course for me than it’s brother Legend. It has some short par 4s and the par 3s are reachable for older guys like me. Legend is longer and wider if you want to try and crush a drive.

The greens rolled true, thankfully slower than some we had played recently. Our pace was great-4 hours flat for me, my wife and grandson. I know we were playing on a light day for this course, but the place is great value. Put it on your list to play. It’s fun!

Given all the rain lately the course was in great shape. Beautiful views and great layout . Challenging for every level.

Never going back again. We waited twenty minutes past our tee off time just to get a cart. Front nine was sketchy people around walking, biking, even four kids on mini bikes went by. Homeless people living in tents. The Resort course has really gone down hill. Too bad. We used to like playing there.

First time playing and so much better than the Legends course. 25 minutes late starting and continued to lose time as the round progressed. No Marshall’s to ensure pace of play.

The course forces you to share a cart with a stranger no matter what? You can't rent your own cart as they done have enough carts for their customers. Ended getting sick after sharing a cart with a stranger. NEVER AGAIN
