Desperately slow play

5.75 hours for a round is far too slow. No marshall was speeding things up.

We could see complete beginners duffing shots off the black/pro tees and unable to get the ball to the furthest forward tees.

Maybe you should have a handicap of less than 30 to be allowed onto this challenging course?

Nice Facility

The course is challenging from tee to green because if narrow fairways and many blind shots. Pace was slow and the fairways in ok shape. Nice restaurant and driving range. Carts are great!

Fairways/Pace of Play $$$

The views were spectacular and the layout very challenging those two things I appreciate. But for the green fees to be over $100 for fairways that are not maintained is extremely disappointing. On top of that, I had no idea that I was going to spend six hours playing 18 holes on a Sunday! I do not know how far apart they are booking teetimes but something has to be done. There’s no way that it should take six hours to play a round. I live in the Murrieta/Temecula and met a family member halfway to enjoy ourselves unfortunately we were exhausted after 12 holes because of the back up. Some holes were backed up by three groups. The Marshall did come out to try to take care of things, but it didn’t work.

Good if you have all day!

Beautiful course but the pace of play is atrocious! Tee time was at 2:42 and because of the number of people let on the course it took until after 6PM (after sunset) to play 9 holes! Great if no one is there, otherwise avoid unless you have all day to play!

Pace of play.

Staff were nice, but they obviously overbooked the course. Pace of play was ridiculous. It took more than three hours to play the front nine.

Eagle Glen

The course is beautiful and the fairways and greens were in great shape. The pace of play was very slow. It took 2 hours to play the first 5 holes. It did pick up some after that but was still a 5 hour 30 minute round. Practice "chipping" area is not worth using. I did love the course and will play it again, hopefully at a faster pace of play.

This course is definitely not worth the $137 fee they are charging. Several fairways had patched grass, sand traps overgrown with grass and lacked sand. We were a twosome and there were two twosomes in front of us that were slow and playing from the tips which slowed us down. They need to decrease this rate. Not a course in Palm Springs.

Setup as a short track

The drought has hit this course hard, but that's pretty normal, I suppose. Fairways are hard and brown. On most holes the rough is in better shape than the fairways. We're starting to get some rain again, so hopefully conditioning improves.

My biggest gripe is they had the black tees (usually 6800) with the blues (6200 yards) on all holes, which makes it pretty short, especially with the hard fairways and conditions. With no difference between blacks & blues, you can't do combo tees either. You're essentially just left with a course that's playing around 6K yards. I drive it ~260 in normal conditions, and was getting more like 280 at Eagle Glen with the dried out course, so I don't think I ever hit more than a 9 iron into any par 4.

Nice course

Overall, it was an enjoyable course. There were other players in front of us who slowed the pace of the game, but it was still manageable. The beverage cart came around only once, which was a bit disappointing. The course itself was nice, though not as green as my last visit, but I would definitely consider returning.

Too slow pace

Middle of weekday pace was very slow, due to No cart available waited t-off @12:30 noon and could not finish 18 holes.

Fairway green need improvement (not green but brown).

SLOWEST PACE OF PLAY

We teed off at 11:50 and finished the par 5 fifth by 2:05. The waiting around was just insane, 3 groups at every tee box waiting to hit. I just don’t understand how the pace could be so slow other than overbooking or letting people tee off to soon. This course really needs to regulate the pace of play, and this is not the first time and it also isn’t due to a late tee off cus I’ve played here before and the same goes for a 9 am tee time. I love the views and the course layout but won’t be playing until something is done about pace of play. 6 hour round is unacceptable.
