LPGA International - Jones Course

Need a good carry off the tee. Greens are well guarded but the greens hold a good iron shot. Greens were a little slow but typical for summer to prevent burnouts. Still, putt speed was about 8.0ish. First time playing the Jones course, played the Arthur Hills course several times, thought Hills course was tougher.

Course needs new carts. Mind was rickety and stealing was extremely loose. Bad carts makes a bad statement.

Also ran into some locals (seniors) that played as a group of 6, speed Demons with bad manners. Pushing from behind. They tried to steal the tee box without asking. Two foursomes in front of us, no place to go. Still played 18 in less than 4 hours. What’s their problem?

Course was decent and at a decent price (~$63 online vs the proshop), but wasn't as amazing as I would have expected for the LPGA Tournament course and former Tour stop. the staff was friendly, tee times were readily available. Would recommend playing it, only slight gripe was slow pace of play- several senior groups from the nearby Margaritaville apparently have a usually Tuesday morning slot.

Course was very playable, and in excellent shape! The only complaint I had is there wasn’t a beverage cart, and they didn’t have any water coolers out. On a 97° afternoon in Florida, you’d think one of the two would be a must

Course was in great shape. Layout was fair with some decent undulation on the greens. Only downside was the slow play.

Tee time was already late by 15 minutes. Then the round took about 4 hours and 45 minutes. Way too long for a morning tee time. No rangers at all.

Had better prices on tee times when course was with GolfNow. Made it a lot easier to book tee times in advance also. Still like the course though.

Course in good condition, greens were very bumpy. This is supposed to be a top notch course the greens should be in better condition.

It was my first time playing the Jones Course and I was impressed with the quality of the course. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in great shape. My only complaint is that we were only a twosome and when we checked in, they didn’t mention pairing us up with anyone. After hitting balls and putting we arrived at the first tee and found about 8 kids and their instructor teeing off. The instructor saw us and asked about our tee time which was in 5 minutes. She said she let that tee time (a 2some) tee off ahead of them. Obviously, we should have been paired with them, but the pro shop never mentioned it. She was kind enough to let us tee off and play through on the 1st hole and it all worked out.

Hot and humid, but great price and good pace of play. Quality of the course is fabulous.

Golf course had 3 inches of rain the night before, be nice if someone could notify people when they have reservations that they are cart path only!

Jones is more fun than I expected. I usually like courses like the Hills course, and not links style courses. But Jones was fun! It’s in pretty good shape right now. The greens were punched a while ago, but they’re almost fully recovered, they’re pretty true. Some bunkers were better than others. But all In all if you find a good deal, then take advantage of it. Will go back. Shot an 89 (typically mid 90’s)

This course was incredible. Perfect greens. Perfect. Immaculate conditions. Just an incredible job over all.
