Great Golf Outing With Friends
Drove in from Jacksonville and what a day to spend the 4th of July... with friends and course was in great shape and challenging for sure...
2nd time was better as I remembered the layout of some of the holes.

Greens recently aerated.
Little bumpy on the greens. Traps hard from rain, some raked others like concrete. Weather played big factor on conditions. Normally this place is immaculate.

Course was in good shape. Fairways were green, although a little wet from afternoon rains. Only negative were the bunkers. Several were full of water and I lost 3 balls because I do not carry a retriever and could not reach my ball with a club. Should have brought a bathing suit I guess

Jones Course-Great Track not so great Marshall
Everything about the course is in great shape. Very pleased worth the price. . No starter or marshal on 1. Smooth front 9. What wasn’t pleasing is the demand that our twosome join the twosome in front of us despite our pace being 3:15 or less for the round. This happened on 11. Marshal cared more about the Florida Golf Association guys getting ready for their tournament then the golfers on the course. We actually played slower on the back 9 thanks to the marshal’s efforts to speed us up. 1:30 front 9, 2 hour plus back 9.

Not worth high green fees
LPGA gets plenty of financial support from the community and SHOULD be expected to produce a very pleasant experience when playing there. But my experiences there over the years has been hit and miss. This time it was another miss.

Bunkers - Total disaster (haven't been groomed for weeks and golfers who play there apparently don't know what rakes are for)
Water stations - NON EXISTENT! (This will sooner or later result with someone having a serious health situation)
Half-way house (closed)
Bag men - not around when finished in mid afternoon
