Tucked away in the beautiful Ft. Caroline area near Jacksonville, Hidden Hills Golf Club stands on a historic battleground that witnessed the fierce struggles between France and Spain and continued into golf history with searing competition during the heyday of the Greater Jacksonville Open.
The 6,892-yard public golf course, built in 1966 on an ancient sand dune, was redesigned by Arnold Palmer in 1986. Palmer's creativity helped create a championship-caliber golf course unmatched in natural beauty that makes excellent use of rare hilly terrain to create a unique Florida golf challenge. The fairways are lined with majestic pines and stately oaks, and the unpredictable greens have helped Hidden Hills gain the reputation of being one of the most challenging courses in North Florida.
Sharp doglegs, strategic placement of water hazards and putting surfaces that are mostly elevated serve up a mighty test for the low handicapper. Approaches are narrow and many of Hidden Hills Golf Club's greens are well bunkered.

Great Value
When my son moved to Jacksonville from Ontario Canada, he said, dad you have to check out this course I was recommended to, called Hidden Hills. He plays there frequently and when we visit he and I always plan a day to play. Course is always in great shape, challenging for any handicap and it has a welcoming atmosphere. Can’t wait to play it again!

December round
First time at the club.
The staff was ok. Not overly talkative or upbeat.
With grass dormant the condition of the tees fairways and greens was as to be expected. The course layout is nice. Id like to play in the spring to see how the course conditions are.

Fun course
Always love playing this course. Ample challenges but playable. Many of the greens need some work as they were cut short and the green didn’t recover. Same with many of the tee boxes as they done seem to be rotated frequently to support regrowth. Fairways were in good condition.

Choose Another Course
Greens were a mess, staff did not advise how poor they were. Tee boxes weren’t any better, barely a flat lie for your feet.

Good
The fairways are tight, so make sure your drives etc are dialed in. The greens were super aerated, so not cool. No heads up about that. Other than that, the staff was great and super friendly.

Old style golfing
Hidden Hills is one of the courses in Florida that gives you a feel you are somewhere else...I'm originally from the northeast and always love playing here cause of the elevations and a true test of golf... Not an easy course but I enjoy it very much....the beverage cart girl is also the nicest and friendliest of any place...great time today...

Course conditions/pace of play
We got stuck behind a 3 some that didn’t let us play thru. Made the day a 5 and half hour round and it could of been easily a 4hr round. The tee boxes were kinda uneven, fairways were kinda meh a little patchy, greens were confusing as they were rolling good but it didn’t look like they were. Seemed like they would be bumpy since how they mowed and rolled them looked awful. I’ll be back but not for awhile.

Had a great time
Got to tee off 10 minutes early with no one in front or behind us. The starter and beverage cart employees were very helpful and polite. The course was in great shape and greens were tricky. Had a great day playing Hidden Hills and we will definitely return.

Course overall condition is Good
The course greens looked rough but ball rools smoothly and fairly fast. The phase was normal on a weekend.
