Tucked away in the beautiful Ft. Caroline area near Jacksonville, Hidden Hills Country Club stands on a historic battleground that witnessed the fierce struggles between France and Spain and continued into golf history with searing competition during the heyday of the Greater Jacksonville Open.
The 6,892-yard private golf course, built in 1966 on an ancient sand dune, was redesigned by Arnold Palmer in 1986. Palmer's creativity helped create a championship-caliber golf course unmatched in natural beauty that makes excellent use of rare hilly terrain to create a unique Florida golf challenge. The fairways are lined with majestic pines and stately oaks, and the unpredictable greens have helped Hidden Hills gain the reputation of being one of the most challenging courses in North Florida.
Sharp doglegs, strategic placement of water hazards and putting surfaces that are mostly elevated serve up a mighty test for the low handicapper. Approaches are narrow and many of Hidden Hills Country Club's greens are well bunkered.

Sad to see course in this condition
It was sad to see the course in this condition. The lay out was great and the front nine amazing. It was hard to differentiate the fairways from the rough. Hopefully some rain will help bring the course back. Will try to play one more time.
Poor condition due to lack of rain and NO PLAYER ASSISTANT FOR SLOW PLAY!
Fairways were very sparse and many shots were hardpan dirt in fairway.
No ranger / player assistant so a single 3-some had 4 groups stacked up!
Course is fun when in good shape.

Good layout, awful conditions
Super dry fairways. Most greens are coming back but the tee boxes and fairways are still in bad shape.

Nice layout
2nd time playing here, love the layout with a few elevated tees. Wasn’t very busy, we did 18 in 4hrs. Some greens had some bad patches but others were very good. Overall I like this place and plan to return

Needs work
Greens and tee boxes we beat up pretty good....fairways were dry and bare in many spots.....the starter was a pleasant man...inside pro shop staff could be a bit more welcoming.

Hidden Hills
Great course in Jacksonville. Very nice layout and several challenging holes. A bit slow pace of play, 4 1/2 hours on a Wednesday with a 11:15 am tee time.

Challenging and Fun
Had a great round despite the threat of rain! Course was in great condition and as challenging as ever. Pace of play was and is usually pretty quick which I like as I can keep a good momentum going.

It's a fun track with all the different slopes and hight difference. But the greens are in rough shop.
